Ah, Shakespeare's famous quote, "What is in a name? A rose by any other name..."
First part: yes, people with the same name tend to be similar. Boys with "feminish" names tend to be teased a lot and thereafter tend to not be masculine (engage in physical sports, etc.)
Just look at the names on movie (or TV) credits: you will see a lot of names over and over and over. By the same token, other names (I am referring to first names or given names or Christian names here) almost never appear.
I have read several books over the years that more or less claim that a name causes a person to develope a specific personality. But, it is just a tendancy, not mandated.
Sorry, I am not certain what you mean by the last part, but I hope this will give you some thought. I would think that you could find one of these books (re names and personalities) at the library or any of the major book stores.

If I understand your question correctly you ask "If people have the same name do you think they have simmilar personalities and attitudes" and for the seccond question well Im not to sure what your asking there. I dont think people with the same names are simmilar I think we are all made different , unique , special and beautifull . Of course thats just me.

No. My daughters' name is Sarah. All the ones i know with that name are shy and sweet. NOT my daughter! She has auburn hair, fiery green eyes and could strike you down with one look. On the other hand she can be sweet when she wants something. As for myself, my name is Vonna. I don't know anyone else with that name so i can't compare personalities.

How important is the name? It really depends on who you are asking! If you ask me, I could say something, but proving it is again something. My name is JAMES. It is in a book called "The Bible". Is that proof? Of course some will say no!

I would have to say no. As an example, my name is Courtney and I am very quiet and bookish. Courtney Love, on the other hand, is pretty much the exact opposite of me. Of course, that is just an extreme example.
