only if you live im the same country and are close to each other then yes. i met my bf online, we talked for hours a day on Xbox Live, and then we finally met each other, and it was me moving to his town that worked it all out, if i hadnt it wouldnt of last.

I think it's certainly possible to meet someone interesting online.
I have met a couple of interesting people via OKCupid, who turned out to have been pretty honest about themselves, and who I did see for a second (and sometimes more) date(s). The big problem with sites like this is that initially you get a lot of matches, but once you've sorted through those, new matches are fairly rare.
I would definitely exercise caution, particularly if you are a female; move slowly, perhaps from email to IM to phone...then, if you want to meet, be sure to meet in a public place during the day.
Good luck!

I actually know a lot of couples who got married after meeting from an online site. But they lived in the same area and met eachother rather quickly. My brother married a girl he met online and they're quite happy. So i guess the answer is, it depends on the people at the site.

I have gone on a ton of sites. Eharmony has more women than men. Every single other site has way more guys than girls. YOu can meet people but most of the people who go on their don't really come away that satisfied (from what I have seen) but you never know. I have heard of real life success stories who ended up in marriage. People my friends know.

Depending on how you go about it, I know for sure it does. A friend of mine met the man of her dreams online. They spoke for 6 months before they met face-to-face and have been together for 4 years, are engaged, and are currently on vacation in Spain.

Sometimes, but keep in mind that "online rejection" and "online getting dumped" ALSO happen. So you might as well stick with real world dating.
