How can I fix the disk reader on my PS2?

I was tryin to play a game on my Ps2, but everytime I put the game the "reading cd" will pop up on the screen then it would just stop. I took it apart to clean it out cause I thought it was dirty but it still does not read the game or any cd's that I put in it.

Clean it with alcohol and Q-tips. Or use professional pressurized air cans. If that didn't help - replace the lens. BTW, some PS2 had problems with the misalignment of the lens with time.
