I just a got a pink Polaroid (brand name) digital camera and it was working just fine until about a day ago. Now everytime I try to take a picture, as soon as I press the button the whole camera just turns off. At first I thought I was accidentally touching the on/off button but I checked and I wasn't.

Info that may be important:

Model/Type: !830 8.0 Megapixel Digital Camera

and btw I don't use a charger to charge it, I use AA batteries.

Please help!

Are the batteries ok in it? You may have to change the batteries...and most digital cameras do not like regular Alkaline batteries for too long (even if they are suppose to be able to take them and even if there were alkaline in it already) Try...

-Lithium AA batteries
-Rechargable AA batteries (with a charger, you wont have to buy batteries for years)

If the batteries are not the problem, (which it sounds like it is) return your camera and get a new one. Regardless of brand, a camera should not act that way and to the guy who says fujis aren't reliable, My fuji was reliable for about 4 years until I broke it accidentally.

I used to have a Fuji and it does the same thing after the warranty expired.
Even since I switched to Canon, I don't have any problem until year 3 or 4.
I recommend that you return the camera to the store and get a Canon.
They are very reliable and excellent in quality.
Other cameras like Sony might look good but not as reliable.

I had owned over 3 Canon cameras since the Fuji.
I usually will give the old one to my sister or relative and get a new model.

It could be low batteries, digital cameras EAT batteries, that's why most people use rechargeables. It could also be the fact it's a Polaroid as they don't make a very good camera.

If you just got it and you know the batteries are good, you might return it to the store and get a new one?
