My friend has an old PS2 that she never uses (it isn't the slim kind). She just got a Wii for Xmas and wants some Gamecube games. I said that I would give her 2 Gamecube games and $20 to buy a controller if she gave me her PS2. Is this a fair trade? If not give reasoning.

The way i see it that is a great trade. Gamecube games cost very little now compared to the prices of the nex gen consoles games.

Also to go out and buy a PS2 now you still have to pay over $100.

So your 2 games and $20 will be a great trade for a PS2 even though it isn't the slim version.

especially since you're friends, you should make the trade fair for both of you. if she gives you the ps2 with one controller, and you gave her two gamecube games, you should still give $40-$50 dollars, at least, depending on the games you're giving her.

people will still buy her ps2 off her for at least $65, possibly as much as $80 since it's been very lightly used (as you say) and is very likely in great shape.

and remember, she's not just giving you a system that can play games - it doubles as a DVD player

To her...no way. She could trade the PS2 in for $50 at Gamestop.

yes, buy 2 gamecube games that are used @ a gameshop, you would get the profit

you would only be spending about $50-60
