We have been saying that forever. They can't understand it because they can't even follow a tenent of their own so-called beliefs: Judge not and ye shall not be judged.
Wiccan Principle #10:
10. Our only animosity towards Christianity, or toward any other religion or philosophy of life, is to the extent that its institutions have claimed to be "the only way," and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief.
Caity, you have every right to state your belief...and BTW, you are right in feeling that way, no matter what they tell you.

I believe in the second death, lake of fire as a permanent death of the spirit. Hell is an effective and true teaching, some will be saved by this form of witnessing …We can teach the Kingdom, but not everyone will be inclined to think there really is such a place either. Christians do have a responsibility to teach both punishment and reward. God’s Word is clear there are two paths. You can’t teach one without the other.
If we didn’t teach the wrath of God, punishment or hell …would we be responsible for walking people to the lake of fire?

Boy do I agree with you. I belong to the LDS Church. The Southern Baptists are sure we are going to hell and the Catholic church feels everyone is going to Purgatory unless you do the things required in the Catholic Church. I am sure others feel the same way, but I am not sure about it. Our religion thinks that every good person will make the millenium of all faiths and religions, and even no religions. Before the 1000 years are over, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ. Only the bad people who do not make it to the Millenium will be in a hell called spiritual prison. At the end of the Millenium, those who spent 1000 years in spiritual prison will be resurrected and will inherit the lowest of three general kingdoms spoken of by Paul and John.

So, let me get this right; you are saying that a biblical sound Christian who has been commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel is not to tell those who reject, oppose, distort, ignore, disbelieve, and change the biblical Gospel and the biblical Jesus that they are going to end up in hell unless they repent and believe the truth. Jesus says preach the Word, and that includes the doctrine of hell.

Christians are commanded to preach the Good News of Salvation from hell.
It is also not that you are condemning that person to hell, because everyone that is not saved is automatically condemned to hell, but you are telling them how to avoid hell. We are ALL condemned to HELL and no one needs to add to that or take away, God has already judged ALL guilty of sin. The actual choice is DO YOU WANT TO GO TO HEAVEN?
If someone is in danger of hell, then we are obligated to warn them, just as you might warn someone not to put their hand onto a very hot frying pan..
We do not know if Jonah died in the belly of the fish and God brought him back to life. He could have actually gone to hell and back..

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
The word in the bible (we read to you) is living and active. The word (in the bible) is truely Gods word. This is why it is so hard to hear. It penitrates and judges us. We do not judge, but Gods word judges. So when you say Chritians are judging you with the bible, now you know we are just messengers for God. God is the one judging. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27

Lol I hear it quite often, being a Gnostic Minister with diffrent beliefs, many main stream Christians find my beliefs threatening, since we don't believe in Hell we find it funny as it is a comon responce for fear and ignorance. Won't they be suprised when I go home ( heaven ) lol.

You're right, it's not appropriate for anyone to tell someone that they're going to Hell. That's only for God to judge.

I agree that a Christian should not indicate that any individual will go to hell, because that is a judgment call for God. But it is correct to teach that people, in general, who do certain things will go to hell, if they do not repent.

although i dont believe in god hell or heaven i do not like it when i am told that i will end in hell.
it sounds as a threat. It is like saying to a christian "I will pray for your soul continuously".
