Quran 8:67 “it is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/msa/quran/008.qmt.html
As you can see in the above verse (aya), the Quran gives Islamic prophets instruction about when it is permissible to take prisoners. However, since the Quran was revealed by Muhammad, and the Quran gives instruction to "any prophet", then obviously the Quran is saying there will be more prophets after Muhammad.
Put it another way. Why would Allah have Muhammad reveal this aya about captives? Who is it for? The verse is for "prophets" right? So there must be prophets after Muhammad that the Quran finds necessary to instruct about future Islamic massacres and when prisoners are to be taken.
There can be no doubt. The Quran clearly asserts, in this aya, that there will be other prophets after Muhammad...maybe Joseph Smith or Tom Cruise.

Majeed:
1. Its not fit for a prophet...
2. Its not fit for any prophet...
3. Its not fit for the final prophet...
1 and 2 are the same, whereas 3 indicates only one possiblity. This couldnt be easier. So sorry.

I find it odd that British people now have the need to discuss foreign ideology almost daily nowadays because of a mistaken immigration policy.
Most British people consider Muhammad the "final" prophet and the Quran as being foreign ideology and of no concern to the UK The Quran is the basis of Islam, Islam has failed miserably as any look at any Islamic country will confirm (this is why Muslims come to the UK after all);therefore the Quran should not be taken as having any basis of truth by anybody .

The Quran does not only talk about the preestent times of the Prophet Mohammed, but also the past prophets and messengers. It may have been a teching from which God gave to the past messengers etc, but here are the qoutes i got. Mohammed is the last and final messenger of God, BUT NOT THE LAST MESSSNGER ON THIS EARTH. Jesus will be the final messenger of God to be on the earth when he returns.
[8:67] For the present Allah has lighten your burden, for He knows that there is weakness in you. So, if there be a hundred of you who are steadfast, they shall overcome two hundred; and if there be a thousand of you, they shall overcome two thousand by the command of Allah. And Allah is with those who are steadfast.
[8:68] It does not behove a Prophet that he should have captives until he engages in regular fighting in the land. If you take captives, except in regular fighting, you will be regarded as desiring the goods of this world, while Allah desires for you the Hereafter. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.

67 It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war (and free them with ransom) until he had made a great slaughter (among his enemies) in the land. You desire the good of this world (i.e. the money of ransom for freeing the captives), but Allah desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise...
So ayah is to tell prophet pbuh that he cant have prisoners until he had made a victory.. and he can let go the captives.. after the victory.... for the ransom and if you further read...
8:70 O Prophet! Say to the captives that are in your hands: "If Allah knows any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

He's the last Prophet of all but there's one prophet that will come another time on this land as in Islam Jesus is a prophet and he didnt die he was lifted up to heaven and he will be resend again on earth before the end of all times so Muhhamed (PBUH) was the last prophet who came on earth with a message from Allah....

Fortunately for us Mohammed's ego was greater than his intelligence because otherwise a few would be queueing for prophethood such as Stalin,Idi Amiin and Charles Manson to name a few.

Mr. Truth Seeker
I have copied and pasted first lines of four translations of four different scholars for the same Ayah of Quran 8-67. Out of four translators only PICKTHAL used ''any''
instead of ''a''. I checked the Arabic Text in Quran and
don't see Arabic word that can be translated ANY.
You or any others want to believe false prophets, go ahead. It can't benefit you in any you. God will guide whom he wills.
Those who delibeately translate Ayahs of Quran to misguide people will have to Answer God on the Day of Judgment.
You must remember that. You are nothing compared to Satan. He is extremely clever and will be burned in hell by God with his associates for what they do against Islam.
Don't forget Mr. Truth Seeker.
It is obvious to me that Pickthal has made a mistake and his translation is not as Popular as of Yusuf Ali, Mohammad Asad and Mohsin Khan. But because it serves your purpose of misguiding people, so you picked his translated line out of four translation I have.for the word ANY that you think will serve your purpose.
Mr. Truch Seeker. You are not a sincere Truth Seeker. Sir. You are constantly looking for points that you can use to misguide people. You are also not a scholar of Quran who can do better job than all Muslims scholars.
God says, Not upon you (Muhammad SAW) is their guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. Quran-2-272
I give true information from Quran to people who question on R&S and seek truth. But it is upto God to guide any. When Allah wants to guide some one, then only he accepts the guidance.
You seems to have sworn to misguide people who want to learn about Islam. I shall always prove you wrong when you are wrong Sir. God always sides the truth and falsehood always is defeated. If you really seek truth ask us and we will give you the truth about Islam. Non-Muslims who seek truth will belive we Muslims and not you Mr. Truth Seeker.
Trying to be a scholar of Islam with intention to misguide will make you sinner in the eyes of God. Do you want that?
