Honestly it isn't up to you. I would let him decide while you still flirt and do your thing. As far as your parents go...if they see that you are happy and he is a descent guy and makes you happy then they should respect it. But considering you are a sophmore and he is a senior they are definately going to be over protective. So if he decides to leave his girl for you then I would try to work something out with your parents where he can come hang out at your house. They can get to know him and you guys can start on a good note. As far as the racial thing..it is 2007 the last time I checked. We have a black man running for president for crying out loud. Your parents need to grow up.

Just move on. I am black and I know that my daddy would freak out if he knew that I was dating a white guy because he believes that everyone needs to stick with their own kind. I think that is the biggest load of bull I've ever heard but I do it. I don't want to put up with anything like that either that's why I stick to my own kind. Call me nuts but I really think that you should do that so that you don't have to deal with that type of drama. Are they racist? I know what that's like, I have an uncle who's racist and I'm embarassed to go places with him because he yells the nastiest things out when he sees a white woman or man, and I have to literally tell him to shut up. Unfortunately you can't do anything about this so just save yourself all the trouble.

I'm sorry, but you really need to back off of him. It's nothing racial, but the guy has a girlfriend! He's obviously leading you on, and as much as it might hurt for you to think it, in my opinion, this guy would never be worth any self-respecting girl. He has a girlfriend, and is obviously happy with her (why would he still be with her if he believed him and you were worth it??). But if he honestly cares, you need to ask yourself if you really care about HIM. Is the player really worth your time, or is this just another guy?
Good luck!

Well I hate to stereotype but I know that some black guys have a problem sticking with just one girl. Indeed it already sounds as if he isn't really interested in the girl he is with now. Too many negatives about this situation - stick with a culture you know about and can trust and no I am not a racist - promise!

I think that you need to just wait out the whole g/f thing. He is taken and if you like him that much then i know that you wouldn't want to break up this relationship that makes him happy. It won't hurt you too wait it out and if you still like him AFTER his relationship then go for it!
