2:173 He has forbidden to you only carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that over which any name other than God's has been invoked; [139] but if one is driven by necessity - neither coveting it nor exceeding his immediate need -no sin shall be upon him: for, behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
5:3 FORBIDDEN to you is carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that over which any name other than God's has been invoked, [7] and the animal that has been strangled, or beaten to death, or killed by a fall, or gored to death, or savaged by a beast of prey, save that which you [yourselves] may have slaughtered while it was still alive; and [forbidden to you is] all that has been slaughtered on idolatrous altars. [8] And [you are forbidden] to seek to learn through divination what the future may hold in store for you: [9] this is sinful conduct. Today, those who , are bent on denying the truth have lost all hope of [your ever forsaking] your religion: do no

How can people eat an animal that eats garbage? Loves mud?
When non-Muslims want to scorn someone, they will say, "you pig." I wonder why? But you eat pigs for stomachs to be satisfying. Double- standard here. As usual.
Why can't you just admit the facts instead of debating the issue? Pig meat is no good for. Fact. Fish and chicken are the best. Lamb is greatest. Oh, but I forgot, Muslims love to eat it, so I guess non-Muslims hate that. Well, that's ok. They don't deserve it.

[your ever forsaking] your religion: do not, then, hold them in awe, but stand in awe of Me! Today have I perfected your religious law for you, and have bestowed upon you the full measure of My blessings, and willed that self-surrender unto Me shall be your religion. [10] As for him, however, who is driven [to what is forbidden] by dire necessity [11] and not by an inclination to sinning -behold, God is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace.
5:60 Say: "Shall I tell you who, in the sight of God, deserves a yet worse retribution than these? They whom God has rejected and whom He has condemned, and whom He has turned into apes and swine because they worshipped the powers of evil: [77] these are yet worse in station, and farther astray from the right path [than the mockers]." [78]
6:145 Say [O Prophet]: "In all that has been revealed unto me, I do not find anything forbidden to eat, if one wants to eat thereof, [134] unless it be carrion, or blood poured forth, or the flesh of swine-for that, behold, is loathsome-or a sinful offering [135] over which any name other than God's has been invoked. But if one is driven by necessity - neither coveting it nor exceeding his immediate need -then [know that], behold, thy Sustainer is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace." [136]
16:115 He has forbidden to you only carrion, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that over which any name other than God's has been invoked; but if one is driven [to it] by necessity - neither coveting it nor exceeding his immediate need -verily, God is much forgiving, a dispenser of grace. Assuming Samina is a Muslim, and respects Jesus, surely s/he can get as far as a metaphorical interpretation of the bread and wine?
Symbolically it is a very powerful image. The food we eat goes to become what we are. Jesus said 'This is my body' as he gave his followers the bread at his last supper. They ate it, symbolically taking on part of Jesus, who of course Christians see as God, though Muslims do not go this far.
As a Christian I am happy to understand what you say about your faith. Is it too much to ask that you understand what we say about ours?

My thoughts are Islam is nonsense the same as all other religion. Muslims are both good and bad the same as people of all religions. People who discriminate against Muslims are no better than the Raciest who discriminate against your people.

Looks like they're forbidden from eating ham, bacon, pork, and roadkill unless they're starving to death.
Sensible precautions, back in the days of trichinosis.

We are forbidden to eat meat dedicated to other than God
We are forbidden to drink blood
Unlike Christians who drink it every time they go to church - saying its the blood of Jesus (pbuh)

It seems extremely strange that a supreme being would be concerned with diet. I can understand imparting knowledge, but why make food be part of morality?
This is a strong indication of being man made.
