Try to gradually stop, I too was addicted to drinking it, once I stopped, the pounds left as well, it was amazing on how much I lost just by cutting out the coke, however I must admit I a get one from time to time to curb my need for one..........good luck!!!!

Get a liter bottle and fill it with water. Always carry the water with you. When you feel the urge for a Coke drink the water until you're full. Coke is highly addictive. I find that after drinking one Coke within 24 hours I want another. I don't even like it that much. You really need to carry the water though it is the best substitute. If you need an energy lift drink some coffee. It is addictive also but much gentler on the body. also keep rehearsing in your mind how bad it is for you. The sugar causes diabetes, the phosphoric acid causes bone deterioration and Coke will cause serious weight gain and zits!

Find another drink that you do like. Try cutting it down at first. Instead of drinking over a bottle a day, drink half a bottle, then eventually down to 3 times a week and so on. Let yourself have a glass once a week to still enjoy the taste.
I gain weight if I drink coke. It is the only thing that wakes me up if I am very very tired during the day. I don't drink it really but once or twice a month. I love water, skim milk and I love grape juice too. Do you like tea? If so, try the different flavors and slowly switch to that. Don't stop cold turkey. It doesn't work for you.

I keep seeing the word drink in your sentences lol, and you seriously need to stop. Just stop buying and drinking coke. That's so how my brother is, and he stopped. So now he's doing pretty well. If he could stop, then i'm pretty you can too. Also, about me, I use to be a Sprite addict, now i'm exercising, and losing weight. I'm not letting Sprite get to me. Just drink maybe once a week, or just once a month to be better. FIRST OF ALL, get into the habit of keeping away from the Coke, and when the habit is good, or is better than before, drink a coke. Just like I said, once a week, or a once a month to be better. Hope things will improve, and better. Good luck.

stop drinking that **** immediately. coke is pure garbage and i will not be nice about it. Each coke can has about 33 g of sugar in it. Thats honestly about the size of a persons eyeball, maybe even more. Pure garbage for you.
Ways to stop:
dont bring money to school and so then you wont be tempted to drink that crap
- tell your mother to stop buying all pops
- start exercising, once you keep that up for about a month or 2, you will notice a difference in your size. And from this achievement, you will feel bad about drinking pop in fear that you will gain this fat back, after all the hard work you have done. This is a favorable solution.

I used to drink a lot of diet coke and did so for years. Last year I switched to water. Drink all the water you can, it did help me fight the cravings... After a while you get used to it and the coke will taste very sugary and bad. This really helped me!! Also carbonated water or club soda may help you.

The guy who I share my house with drinks 6 x litres of diet coke EVERY DAY.
His teeth are fine even though he hasn't seen a dentist in SIX years.
We are ALL different, if you are concerned - have a chat with your doctor. But I wouldn't worry so much. Good health to you and, Happy New Year....xxx

You need someone to help you. It could be a friend or sister..anybody. Basically they have t make sure that you dont go near coke and if you do it is up to them to punish you. I used this method when I was addicted to chocolate and it really worked. Just as long as you and your helper are committed!

I'd be a hypocrite if I told you HOW to wean yourself off of coke, because I myself am addicted, HAHA. Just try to slowly wean yourself off of it, and find a drink that you like better to substitute the desire for coke. Good luck!
