lexapro is hard to tell. i think it might have helped a little bit but i was still nervous. the doctor than gave me xanax and that calms me down.(i just don't know if thats enough for right now) so i have three questions. do u think its even necessary for me to take the lexapro then? two i heard zoloft is good, some say better than paxil or lexapro, so do u think i should try zoloft with the xanax? or three is xanax alone or one drug alone really enough for people who are really nervous all the time. (i know everyone is different, just want your opinions)

The best way to coop with anxiety is to go out ofen and have contact with ppl. even if it is hard for you; go dancing[not much lite, a lot of nise, nobody pay attantion to anybody]; do some outdoors exercise[fresh aer is the best cure].
Be happy and do not worry to much about stupid staff...

I took lexapro once for anxiety that was caused by the on set of early menopause. This actually made me very sick.
I then took zoloft which gave me a mild heart attack because apparently I was allergic.
I have found that finding a quite spot, having a fan running and blow air on me on high and just chilling out has worked. I went form having them all the time to hardle at all now.
Your right each person is different and your dr will have to decide what is best for you.

The Xanax will treat the symptom of anxiety alone. Antidepressants will treat the underlaying cause of depression which can be exhibited in other ways then just being depressed.

Think of anxiety as God knocking on the door to your heart. Sit and feel the attack 100%. (if they last 20-45 mins. )
when you realize it is a feeling and nothing 'bad' is actually going to happen, you will get better at dealing with them.
Pray through them and whatever is on your heart comes out and gets dealt with.

or, you can try the new, stronger meds on the market. That might be faster & easier. :-) good luck
