How are you going to solve the death of your loved ones? Your own death?
It seems to me that faith is defined as accepting as truths things that can not be proven. You can never prove (or disprove) the existence of God, you have to take it on faith. Mankind has always shown an inclination to believe in higher powers and to yearn for spiritual meaning. Catholics will tell you it is because God made us this way, while others (see the book "The God Delusion", for example) will tell you it's a side effect of evolution and it's delusional. Either way this (a desire for spiritual meaning) is a real and powerful force present in most humans and all societies.
Here's a thought experiment for you: assume Christianity is correct, and you are a believer. Any poor atheists out there are dooming themselves to eternal damnation in hell. You don't "need " to convince the atheists for your own sake, you do it for their sake, out of love. It's actually pretty simple to understand, and doesn't imply any need for horrible motivations and evil plans of world domination.
From this point of view, when you say you "don't need faith" you couldn't be more wrong, and you only have a finite amount of time to get it straight, so it's very important to all true Chirstians to witness for their faith and give you every opportunity to see the error of your ways. It's later than you think!

God is a very personal thing. You must realize that God will appear to you if and only if you ask him into your life. Im Catholic so I ignore the false teachings of protestant beliefs. If you want a good piece of advice try this.....Just once in your life have a open mind and try to find God, pray to him with your whole heart and be humble....see what happens. If you still think it is nothing than live your life good and keep searching for the meaning. Just try it, so many people don't. Goodluck! =)

I do not need you to believe what I believe. It is my commitment to God that compels me to speak on his behalf to you, and to give testimony of the things God does for me. I need God, primarily because I am not strong enough to overcome the sinful nature with which I was born, for which his Holy Spirit strengthens me. God provided payment in full of the debt I could not pay, that is, the debt I owed for the sin I comitted. You have the same debt, and you cannot pay it on your own. It is not possible. Only your acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ could liberate you from that debt, and nothing else.

I'm a non-believer. I think people need God so they have 'explanations' for things they can't explain. That was a long time ago, when religion was first made.
But now, even though we CAN figure that stuff out, we instead cling to the old stories and legends, insisting that they're true.

I will quote myself, "the one thing we all have in common is the need to validate our beliefs by trying to convince everyone of the validity of our beliefs".
