I know they do not make the 20 and 60 anymore, unless I get them online.

I still like playing PS2 games, so I was wondering should I sell my PS2 along with some games and that way making the extra $100 that an 80 gig would cost?

So in terms of price, getting a 40 gig is basically the same as getting an 80 gig and selling a ps2 and a few games i suppose

So if you were me, would you buy the 40 for $400 or sell PS2 and games and get the 80 gig for $500?(it's the slim ps2 and the guy at a game stop said they take it for about $35)

and what's odd about that, I saw used PS2 games being sold for a higher price, like God of War 2 i saw being sold for a little over $35....I have that game btw, and the first one, but not sure If i want to sell them, maybe I will sell the 1st

So 40 or 80? (or do you recommend the 60 to get online?)

This question is an often one, so that's my cut & paste answer:
1). 20GB has no chrome trim, no memory card reader and no wi-fi. Not manufactured anymore. Has the best backwards compatibility with PS2 games due to Emotion Engine (PS2's CPU) and Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU) installed.
2). NTSC 60GB has the same backwards compatibility as 20GB version, also has memory card reader and wi-fi. Has a chrome trim.
3). 80GB - extended memory, but reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games, it has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU). Around 80% of PS2 games can be played. Available only in NTSC regions.
4). 40GB - can't play PS2 games at all (all PS2 chips were removed), has 2 USBs instead of 4, no memory card reader, has wi-fi. Avalable in black and white colors. White is on sale only in Japan. Uses 65nm technology (lower power consumption). Improved cooling system. It's the latest version. 40GB doesn't support SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc).
5). PAL 60GB - reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games. it has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2's GPU). Around 80% of PS2 games can be played.
Wi-fi included in all models, except 20GB.
