hello; i have been trying and trying to lose weight but I guess my metabolism is too slow because I can never weigh under 200lbs. I have cut all fast food; all greasy foods. Is there a diet plan that anyone has succeeded in to get to their ideal weight? And if so what was it

I succeeded with Atkins diet, that most people are against. For me the lose of weight was very slow (while a friend of mine that was on the same diet lost pounds on a weekly basis), but it also made me feel good. The low carb diet gives you energy and I felt like I am walking on air. Every year I get off the wagon on Halloween, because I love candy. So it is hard to get back on it. Only because it takes a few days to stop the craving for suger. So I am still battling this year on getting back on the diet.
I very much recommend to eat more chicken and less beed and ham that are more fatty. Doing that makes me feel even better then I described earlier.

I have four boys, and have successfully lost all baby weight each time (size 2-4). First of all, make sure you are eating snacks in between meals (a piece of fruit and some almonds, etc) and replace all coffee with green tea. Next, stick to lean meats (chicken breast and salmon) and LOADS of vegetables (you can steam or roast). Also, do 20 minutes of cardio a day (running or walking fast). Drink lots of water, and allow yourself a treat once a week.

eat lots of fruits and veggies and keep up with the exercise. The weight did not go on overnight and it will not come off overnight. Do not stop eating. Your body goes into a "famine" mode and hangs on to every fat cell it has. It will even shut down body functions to save that fat cell. Eat often 3 to 5 times a day, just use a small plate and nibble your way across it. Veggies are free foods, eat as much as you want and that does not work with lots of butter and cheese piled on top.
A great whole food supplement to add to your new lifestyle would be JuicePlus+ check it out. http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/Home.soa?site=Lb53116
