The Quran says we were all created in a form God loves - if someone has a disability it is seen as an honour since God feels they have greater faith not as a punishment
Islamic history has a shining record of many examples of people who, while having some kind of disability, occupied very excellent positions and prominent status in the society. `Atta Ibn Abi Rabah, who was known of being black, lame and paralyzed person, was the greatest Mufti in Makkah. He was highly honored by `Abdul-Malik Ibn Marawan, the Muslim caliph of that time. His vast knowledge earned this prestige.
The prophet apointed a blind man Abdullah bin Maktum to be governor of Medina and call people to prayer
*{There is no harm in the blind, nor is there any harm in the lame, nor is there any harm in the sick (if they do not go forth); and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause him to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow...}* (Al-Fath 48:17)

Nobody likes to be born disabled, including Muslims. But it is a fact that it happens to some people regardless of their religions.
To quote you, "The Quran says we were all created in a form God loves - if someone has a disability it is seen as an honour since God feels they have greater faith not as a punishment" -- why would your God create disabled Muslims and healthy non-Muslims? Why would God not give a healthy body to everybody since nobody likes to be disabled?
Answer the questions honestly.

If that were true, it indeed would be sick.
However that is a gross misunderstanding about Buddhism and especially in the notion of reincarnation.
Human beings are constantly giving off physical and spiritual forces in all directions. In physics we learn that no energy is ever lost; only that it changes form.
This is the common law of conservation of energy. Similarly, spiritual and mental action is never lost. It is transformed. Thus Karma is the law of the conservation of moral energy.
By actions, thoughts, and words, man is releasing spiritual energy to the universe and he is in turn affected by influences coming in his direction. Man is therefore the sender and receiver of all these influences. The entire circumstances surrounding him is his karma. What we are, then, is entirely dependent on what we think.
Remember that man is characteristically placed at the midpoint of the ten stages; he can either lower himself abruptly or gradually into hell or through discipline, cultivation and the awakening of faith rise to the Enlightened state of the Buddha. A 'disabled' person is still a person and subject to his actions, his karma.

You were doing just fine until you got to garden and river stuff?lol, just kidding ? I learn good and logical points from any source, and i do respect all beliefs people have, but personally i never limit myself to one idea, or one choice. I think science and logic would offer you much more than any religion could.
How ever i am very familiar with culture and Islam coz i lived in ME for many years. And i did find some very logical and advanced ideas offered by Islam. And one as you mentioned is the fact that all people are equal in Islam and no bias, prejudice or racism exist in Islam. I admire that.
My Best Regards.

Are you sure that's true? Can you give us some sources?
Also, is that any better than fundamentalist Christians such as Jerry Falwell et al who claim that aids is God's 'punishment' for people who are gay.
And also that people trying to secularize America helped 9/11 happen?

More accurate than the Judaeo/Christian/Islam Version...
That is the Vedas go into this subject far more in depth and give more Plausible Explanations than the Koran/Bible..So worth checking for serious seekers of the Truth...
But I suppose the more simplistic explanation of Karma in the Bible is...Do unto others as you would have others do unto you...for as you sew...Then so shall you reap..

you are right. Islam has created prophets, moulvis, mullas out of less than qualified, or handicapped people either mentally or physically. Example, their religion encourages people to rage war, committ suicide bombings, rape, cultivate poppy, smuggle goods, involve in human trafficking, enslave people of other countries and other sects...you name it. So who will be attracted to this kind of encouragement?Hard core criminals in jails, blood thirsty terrorists, and perverted sex offenders. So tha's what is going on in the middle east,Afghanistan,Pakistan,Sudan,Nigeria,Iran,Saudi,Dubai.
And please stop talking about Islam being peaceful and most promising religion. We know about it and we are experiencing it right before our own eyes.Any country that has majority muslims has no future. That's for sure. It's just a matter of time. You can live in your own dellusions, but people are smart enough to figure this out no matter how hard you try to fool.

That's not a Buddhist teaching. That's not how karma works. Do some research before you slander other religions. It only makes you look ignorant.

What does Islam think about disabled people?
Edit** First off stop pointing fingers at other religions. No one is perfect. Every religion teaches something good.

you need to study Buddhism better before you just call our beliefs sick
I follow many Buddhist principles and when people make fun of Muslims on here I constantly defend them advocating that we should all love one another
The reason why people often think bad of muslims is because they have not educated themselves right. Please do not do the same.
