If you use the define function on Google for the word "spirit," many of the definitions hint or explicitly revolve around the concept of the supernatural.

Spirit is in many ways different from spirituality; however, I'm not talking about the "we've got spirit yes we do we've got spirit how bout you" kind of spirit. It's more of the sense of an seemingly inexplicable inner working. That seems to be a supernatural form of some kind.

Am I making any sense here, kids?

Just thinking out loud . . .

This Daniel kid sounds extremely gullible.

Back to the question. The definition for spiritual and spirit is quite varied, so I looked it up

Supernatural is defined as (answers.com)
1 Of or relating to existence outside the natural world.
2Attributed to a power that seems to violate or go beyond natural forces.

My buddy wikipedia describes spirituality as

A perceived sense of connection forms a central defining characteristic of spirituality — connection to a metaphysical reality greater than oneself, which may include an emotional experience of religious awe and reverence, or such states as satori or Nirvana.

Technically, the concept of spirit goes outside the natural world, so it CAN be considered supernatural.

However supernatural have a semi-negative connotation, bringing up images of vampires, ghosts, etc

So I would say they are related by strict definition, not by popular associations with each word

there are evil spirits or demons or fallen angels, and there are good spirits or angels of the Lord. Spirits have a supernatural ability. I don't recommend that you get involved with the spiritual evil that is plagued in this world. Do not get involved in Spiritism. It is bad news. I read about this man who was in Spiritism. When contacting spirits, they would have a Bible on the table. Many times the Bible would levitate off the table and slam into a wall. If we think about Christianity for a moment, who is against the word of God? The devil and his angels. I recommend that you stay away from Spiritism because it is not a person you are talking too. It is a demon.

No you don't have to believe in the supernatural to be spiritual, if you mean werewolves, vampires, etc. and the "fear factor" that goes along with all that.
However, the concept of having a soul (spirit) goes hand in hand with spirituality and the belief in "spirits" and the afterlife. Which can seem to be mysterious, but it isn't necessarily supernatural. For a truly spiritual person the spirit's continued journey after life in this world in a completely natural cycle.
