I have heard that it is really good stuff, but having difficulty finding what sounds like the sauce described to me.

MUSTARD BARBECUE SAUCE, South Carolina
Makes about 2 cups.
3/4 cup prepared mustard
3/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 teaspoons black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce


Cooking Directions
In a bowl, stir together all ingredients.

Brush on during or at the end of grilling.

Also serve at the table.

Refrigerate leftover sauce; will keep refrigerated for 2 weeks.


Serving Suggestions
Vary your usual barbecue with this spicy mustard barbecue sauce.

Great on grilled chops or basted on the last 30 minutes of grilling a roast.

1/2 cup prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup beer
1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke

Whisk all ingredients together. Store refrigerated. To USE: Paint sauce on meat frequently (about every 10 minutes) during cooking or marinate meat overnight before cooking.

3 Tablespoons peanut oil
2 Tablespoons honey
2 minced garlic cloves
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
1 minced onion
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon ginger
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Whisk all ingredients together. Grill meat, during the last 4 to 10 minutes baste with sauce. Boil remaining sauce and use as additional sauce.

Have you checked for Maurice's BBQ sauce at the PIGGLY WIGGLY--that's a grocery store by the way.

thanks for the question. my husband is from south carolina and is always bragging on thier BBQ sauce saying that ours up here is too sweet and heavy( we live in the midwest)
im going to try that first recipe...sounds good!
