I am white (actually Irish-Illini Indian, "showing the Irish side", as they say). He was from Iran, though he preferred "Persia". He's the only one I've ever loved, but his parents didn't want him marrying an American girl. They made him return home. In the early Seventies and at 19 years old, you tended to do what your parents wanted you to do.
My parents never got to meet him, but they trusted my judgment. I'm sure they would have liked him.

I am Caucasian and I dated a Canadian. I even learned to speak fluent Canadian. No actually, I have never dated out of my race but I have been attracted to African American girls before. The major reasons we didn't go out were social pressures and family pressures. I don't think interracial dating/marriages are wrong. However, be prepared to deal with the racism that will crop up during your relationship. If the tension overshadows the relationship, then you have to ask yourself if it is all worth it.

i'm cuban (hispanic) and my boyfriend is white. we've been together for almost 4 years! and we've never had any racials problems. my family loves him and his family loves me! i guess its not that big of a deal because i look white but still....its a great thing because my family is a traditional hispanic family and he has learned so much from our culture and me from his! so its GREAT! and i wouldnt have it any other way!

I love interracial dating. but I am mixed and my parents told me always if you love someone who cares what color they are. But there problems that arise but who cares about the haters right?
