Angel - i am at that time where i feel i went through a bad situation and came out the other side a better person for it even though i still have the odd sad day but i now find helping others makes me feel good. It sounds as if you had a lovely experience ref you feeling your pain being taken away and feeling of love it sounds beautiful. I am unsure of if i am on the right track (at that crossroads) but i suppose time will tell. Thank you all for your answers.

I might. Have read more than those below, for about a year, years ago, researching the possibility. Believe there's a universality, energetic in nature, of which we're capable. A slight example of proof I remember is the idea for a light bulb conceived in two places, an ocean apart, simultaneously, with a fight over credit for it.

The Celestine book offers the theory that we draw what we're ready for, and the further we go, the more things flow from it. We're energy to begin with, and since energy cannot be created or destroyed, it lingers, so that when we die it's transferred to another living use. And the reason we experience what we do is self-determined.

The movie What the *** shows how quantum physics works in the brain, with the brain still so vast that we create new electronic paths when we explore, capable even of eliminating useless ones.

Therefore yes, what I've already said: what we experience is self-determined, and the reason, I believe: growth, evolution, discovery, adventure, enhancement.

Absolutely! I believe we all have lessons to learn whilst here on Earth until we go back home. I feel very strongly that there is a divine power more powerful. A few weeks ago I felt the most wonderful unconditional love, a home coming, I felt all my pain be taken away from me and felt nothing but pure love. It was absolutely lovely and I knew that everything was going to be ok. I have never felt anything like it in my life before. It was truly amazing and certainly not expected. I have been truly blessed and know that I do not need to worry anymore, and I am truly loved. This came at a time when I was unsure if the path I was on was correct and started doubting. I know things happen for a reason believe me!!!!

Yes I believe there is a reason for everything, but the reason can be very complicated. You learn a lot from making mistakes or going through hard times. Sometimes the reason may be more the result of things beyond your control, and you are made aware of issues or problems in the bigger world. This is no excuse, for people not wanting to improve things, there is always a good reason to improve conditions in this world for others and for ourselves.

One needs to believe in something when one can't see and understand the reason.
With your question I don't need to believe that things happen for a reason, because I can observe this around me, in the world and within myself.
We can look at it in two ways: Things happen for a reason now because this is caused by created conditions in the past or things will happen because we are creating conditions now. There is always a reason. Humans have the tendency to give the fault to the happening and are not asking for any reason behind and they are hardly capable to look at themselves for a possible reason. They are used and that is so much easier, to give the reason and fault to the others, to circumstances or calling it destiny or bad luck. If it is something good what happens, then people feel good and are satisfied, if it is something that creates disappointment, because it is not like the person would like it to be, then the reason is always seen in the outside and the sufferer feels as a victim. In both cases, being a victim or getting satisfaction, the person gets ones feeling of existence out of the happening and that’s all, there is no questioning about it, going with the same attitude to the next happening.
To have a reason to look at things happening to oneself or to the world, one needs to change ones limited and primitive way to see the world and oneself. One needs to change the attitude to see oneself as the center of the world and every thing else turns around this. One has to see that we are not separated from each other and the things outside oneself. So then one will realize that what happens, even though one personally has not caused it, one still participates by having the same attitude and worldview. This is not philosophy or a ‘spiritual’ concept, this is an experience when one steps out of the limited mass consciousness with it’s worn out tracks of behavior and habits, well established and well defended.
Look for the reason and you will find it. The dilemma is that you need to look at yourself first and this is something people are not used to do and they try to avoid this with all means. To be able to question oneself and to look at oneself, one needs to do a step beyond oneself. Being identified with all ones properties: mentally, emotionally, spiritually and last not least all ones material stuff, that makes it difficult if not impossible to let go of something of all this.
So that you ask a question like this might be a start

Not in the sense you seem to be asking but of course there is reason for everything.
ie - if you step in a puddle, it's because it has been raining and you walked in that direction etc etc etc and so on and so on....

I don't think we have puppet masters of any sort, there is no plan.

First responder is correct, as far as it goes. The reason may be totally obscure, or the result of a completely random phenomenon.

Yes, it will not always be good to experience it. But there will be a specific purpose that God is trying to get thru to you...

All experiences are opportunities for learning. That is a reason, if there is no other.
