I don't know because my skin is a tan color. I never felt it being attractive or anything.

I think lots of people want a tan because it seems to make your skin glow. If your not tan it makes you stand out.. especially in the winter when it's way too cold to get a tan. Tanning is just a trend right now and like any other trend, everyone wants to have a tan now. Everyone always wants what they don't have, so if someone doesn't have tan skin then they're obviously going to want it. That's probably why you don't find it attractive when you have it yourself. Your lucky to have tan skin, so show it off! Hope this helped you:)

Personally i want a tan because i think i look more attractive when i have one. It hides any "imperfections" in your skin tone! My makeup looks better when i am slightly tanner & i like changing my hair color when i'm tan! I love being tan but would also rather be more cancer-contientious. So..i dont know! It has its pros & cons!

tans look healthy and it just looks better to have more color, pale does look sick and not as pretty when it should actually be the other way around because tans are just skin damage

I'm pale as a ghost and could care less about having a tan, but tans do look nice and they actually make you look healthier. Pale people look more sickly.

it goes along wiht the saying that 'the grass is always greener on the other side'.
thus white people want to be tanned, tanned people want to be whiter. those with curly hair want straight and those with straight, want curls. There is no rationale to it other than to say that's just the way it is.

lol same here i have tanned skin from swimming, but i really want my normal sorta whitish skin back!

to make you look better put if you go to much you turn out looking plastic its grouse I've seen girls look like that and it makes them look really old
