My mattress is extremely comfortable but it hurts my back. I'll wake up with a sore neck and back, barely able to move until I take some ibuprofen. Lately I've been sleeping on my floor and couch, and the pain and stiffness and almost completely gone. My mom has promised me a new mattress, but with it being Christmas time we don't have enough for a new one right now. What can I do for the next couple months until I get a new one? I miss sleeping in my room, will I just have to sleep on the floor and couch? My brother kicks me off the couch when he comes over and spends the night, leaving me on the floor. It's fairly old.

your mattress may not be supporting you enough. It sounds to me like u need a harder surface. I used to be the same way.

Here's what i did: Find some flat wood, like nothing super thick or anything just some thin wood and put it in between your matress and your box spring. That will help stiffen up your bed a little more.

If that doesn't work then try sleeping on your back with a pillow right at the arch of your back, this will give you more support and should help.

I hope that helps you.....it did me when i went through it! lol

Put a piece of plywood between your mattress and box springs.

3/4" composite board will also work

Aero Beds really do work very well for an adjustable bed at a low price

You need to put a board under it. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. I hope your back, neck, etc gets better.

Tell your dad to cut you a slab of wood about 1/2 inch thick, the length and width of your bed, and put it under your mattress, I guarentee it will work!!!

Take a couple of night time PM to sleep. It kills pain and lets you sleep.

You could put a thin pillow under your back for support.
