You could...........................
raise money by doing various fundraisers,
volunteer for charities,
help the elderly in your area by doing their shopping or befriending them.
Recycling all you can, using energy saving light bulbs, cycling rtaher than using the car.
Or just the simple things like holding open doors for people, or when walking along the street, smile and say hello to people (that can sometimes get a funny reaction, because not many people do that anymore)
Offer to buy a homeless person a cup of coffee instead of just giving them loose change, or better still make conversation with them instead of walking passed them.
To be a better person to the world you dont have to do big things, its the little things that help.

Nope, an individual can only do what they can do. Help your local community, get others to volunteer. The phrase "charity begins at home" is very true. Only when our own house is in order can we seek to change the lives of others. No one can expect to change the world though the sentiment is admirable, seek to improve the lives of those around you and this will spread. Good luck to you if we all strove to be better individuals the world would be a much better place. x

By volunteering you time, you can affect someones life for the positive. I have been affiliated with American Red Cross for 15+ years, I go to house fires, apartment fires, national disasters to aid others in times of acute distress. I touch peoples lives in a positive way.

I think that I may be on the right track. Internet is to easy. Get out to the real world. My neighbours are pensioners, so I call every day to see if they need any help. We have a great community here. Wish I had done it before.

Easy and rewarding and you will be making a difference in the lives of needy children and helping them get a shot at education. Every child who can receive a ful education will lift themselves out of poverty and ultimately make the world a better place.

You can make a difference to many situations.
You cannot fix everything, too many use that as an excuse not to start.
Personaly, apart from local community, I am also involved with Fairtrade and Christian Aid.
There are lots of opportunities to travel and be involved with projects in other parts of the world
