My husband and I have been getting headaches, but only when we are at home. When we leave the house, they seem to go away. I've noticed the glade plug-in is very strong, can they cause a person to have headaches?

It is possible. You should try removing it from your home. If that doesn't work then there could another underlying problem in your home. Like mold spores, pet dander, a household cleaner you are using. Just troubleshoot the problem a little.

Air fresheners consist of chemicals that can cause headaches and allergic reactions, but they typically don't put out a very large amount of chemical. Since its winter, its also possible that carbon monoxide is leaking into your house - the most common symptom is a headache that seems to occur only when you are in your house. It wouldn't hurt to make sure you are not getting poisoned by carbon monoxide. Ace hardware and Walmart sell carbon monoxide detectors for $30 - $40.

My mom is super sensitive to any type of air freshner or scented candles. Her eyes water, she will begin wheezing, headache will flare up....definately not worth the scent! It is very possible this could trigger your heaches. Get rid of the plug in and raise some windows to let some fresh air circulate. Hopefully this will solve your problem! Best wishes to you both!

it makes me dizzy too, its probably the heat and scent mixed together. try putting it on a lower setting, or don't be so close to them.
