Class A's
Not sure if the regs have changed over the years, but it used to be you were not allowed to fly in BDUs, so I can't see why it would change for ACUs. At least, not allowed to fly in BDUs when you are not on a military charter flight, that is. Military charter, you wear what they tell you to wear.

You're not allowed to wear your ACU's or BDU's when boarding a plane, unless you're coming back from war which is the exception since you have no civilian clothes to wear on your way back from war.. or so many claim.
You should first check the weather of the place you're going to and dress accordingly, in civilian clothes. Once you arrive you will be instructed to wear either a pt uniform, bdu/acu or remain in civilian clothes.
P.S Ensure you have civies that "FIT" you properly and are not exposing!
Good Luck!

Wear your ACUs. You can go through the first class line when passing the security lines at the airport. When you report, you will be in the correct uniform and be ready for school. I always wear my ACUs when reporting directly to a school. You don't want to mess up your Class A unnecessarily.

Someone hasn't taken AT-level 1 yet. According to DoD standards the military is not supposed to wear any uniform while traveling alone by plane. It makes you a target for any potential hi-jackers. I'm amazed that instructors still tell their troops to report this way.
I'm guessing by the thumbs down that someone else hasn't taken AT-Level 1 either. It is a required course for all DoD employees. It is our job to blend in to the civilians, not stand out. ****, I guess they don't have like a million commercials about this on AFN or anything.

once I mentioned to the 173rd in Italy, I wore my ACU's on the airplane, yet had to alter into civilians interior the airport because of the fact placed up OPSEC regulations discouraged human beings wearing militia uniforms off-placed up through terrorism and different safety concerns (infantrymen were conventional to get jumped - not many times, even though it occurs). as quickly as I mentioned to brigade headquarters, i grew to become into instructed which organisation i may well be going to. you may get touch coaching for a "sponsor" interior your receiving unit that'll help take you around and get you orientated to the place you may desire to pass. by ways, once you're going foreign places, maximum laptops in recent times have twin-voltage transformers integrated into the flexibility furnish. verify the flexibility brick, it may say that it accepts enter ability beginning from one hundred ten-240V and 50-60Hz. as long because it does, you're solid. i've got taken my computing device throughout Europe and the united kingdom, and the main I ever necessary grew to become into an outlet adaptor that facilitates you to plug the three-prong American plug into the foreign places 220V shops. The adaptors are approximately 5 greenbacks on the community PX. besides, maximum barracks on placed up have the two "American" and eu ability besides. although, endure in innovations that the "American" shops, even nonetheless they kick out 110V ability, nonetheless have a 50Hz AC cycle, which could in specific cases injury any gadget with a motor in it, at the same time with vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens and so on.

Wear normal cloths on the plane and then change to ACU before you report to the USO or where ever you have to report to.

You really need to call your base and ask someone in charge. My son is in the Army and I was told that they are not allowed to wear any uniform on flights. But then I see guys in ACU's (digitals) all the time at our airport. Best thing to do is phone the base that you will be stationed at and ask someone there.

Class As, unless they've changed it since I went through five years ago. They made sure I was wearing them when I left Basic.
