In the next decade I don't know, but I do know that Revelation reveals this transpiring at the very end of time. So much so that there will even be a death decree passed to kill those who don't conform.

Do I think it will happen in our generation? YES, too many other prophecies are being fulfilled simultaneously:

Look at the wars and rumors of wars, yes, we've always had wars but never like this.

Increase in knowledge? Need I point out that for 5,900 years we got around by nothing more advanced than a horse and buggy, and now we not only sen man to the moon, but to build in outer space???

Natural Disasters? Katrina, and so many others around the world, not to mention Global warming.

Look @ how our Country is coming together as a "Christian" nation, follow this link for National news regarding this topic:

Finally: We have 5 out of 9 Catholics on the Supreme Court Bench now, and an agenda to display the 10 Commandment law in government buildings...

In the 10 Commandments the last 6 are civil laws and are good to be upheld as they currently are; but the first four dictate how to worship our God, especially the fourth...

What happened in History when church and state united? The inquisition, The Dark Ages? We fled to this country for freedom of religion, and the right to worship according to the dictates of our own concience. The Bible says it will happen again.

It is much more likely that the USA will suffer a break down in government and basic services and head towards anarchy, especially due to the aftershocks of the credit crunch. As it gets more difficult for the government and citizens to borrow money to continue our wasteful deficit spending ways, sacrifices might have to be made. This could pit people against each other and take us one step closer to total anarchy. One of the groups struggling for power will, of course, be the religious right. They will face tremendous opposition unless they can convince the rest of America that they truly have the moral authority to lead the country. If they do this (and it is not going to be easy!) then you will have your theocracy.

We have not seen the cumulative effect of the credit crisis yet. The whole world's financial services industry has been effected by it.

Pretty low. We've already had one civil war in this country's history, and I think we'd have another if we moved in the direction of a theocracy.

Judging from the current "trend" the odds are absolutely zero. We are becomeing less and less "Christianized."

I don't think it will happen. However, I would have to say that the odds are greater than zero.

depends on who wins the next presidential election. I think if the Republicans keep winning that is where we are headed, but it would take much longer than 10 years.
