I know they recommend age 2 but I was wondering if anyone has started earlier then age 2..and if so what age, did your pediatrician say it was okay?

Also..what kind did you buy that your child prefers..or likes?

My daughter is almost 17 months old.

Thanks for answering!! :)

When my daughter was 18 months old, I started her on those Winnie The Pooh gummy vitamins. She doesn't eat right; she's a very picky eater. It says to give a 2 year old 2 gummies a day. Since my daughter wasn't 2 years old, I gave her 1 a day. She is almost 2 years old now and I still only give her 1. My daughter has been doing fine with them and so I'd recommend the same. I didn't consult my daughters doctor because she is my daughter and I know what's best for her.

I have three kids. My youngest child is sixteen months old, but in weight and height, she's as big as the average two year old. I give her half a Flintstone's multi-vitamin every day. I only give my kids vitamins in the winter months because the fresh fruits and vegetables they usually eat all summer are not as readily available. She's also a bit of a picky eater so I want to make sure she's getting enough of everything. My doctor said it's fine but he said that a half of a vitamin should be sufficient.

My pediatrician gave us the go-ahead at 18 months to start using a daily vitamin. He also said, though, that if she was eating a well balanced meal and wasn't into the too-picky-for everything stage, then it wasn't necessary.

Unless you have a real health problem going on, kids don't need daily vitamins. They need a good diet.

I started my daughter when she was two. I also give them to my son that is 14 months old. I Dont give them to him everyday but I do give them to her.

I bought them at Wild Oats. They are called Nordic naturals Nordic Berries. They are a multivitamin and they are shaped like candy. My daughter loves them so much that she asks for them every morning.
