Meeting people at a bar.... any relationships form from them?

Question

I've gotten a few phone calls.... but never went farther than a couple of dates.

Realized I have been in a lot of relationships and NONE of them were from me meeting some guy at a bar. Usually through friends... Bars and clubs to me are just places to randomly make out I guess.

Do you know of any successful relationships that actually form from meeting your signficant other at a bar or club?

Let me get this straight, you believe that there are only two guys on planet earth and you MUST choose to be with one of the other of them??? HOW ABOUT NEITHER! One couldn't care less about being with you, his actions prove that undeniably, if he does come around its only going to be to get some. The second you met in a bar and talked til 4am!! Honey, there is nothing more meaningless than that. I was a bartender for years, guess what take that SAME sweet guy and I guarantee he's done exactly what he did with you with a different girl everytime he's been in that bar. I'm not saying it can never work (although I never saw one that did, not long term anyway) but you need to take your time, sit back and watch what he does. Don't get your heart set on choosing one or the other, you know one isn't worth anything and you know nothing about the other.

In my case, I haven't met any significant others at a club or bar, however I have made some good friends. I met a lady, and her daughter who go to this one club that I frequently go to all the time, and they are always together, and they leave together. All three of us have become good friends, and our friendship seems to be going well. If you are looking for something serious I honestly don't think a club or bar is a good place to start, but that's just my opinion.

Bars are normally referred to as the place to find chicks or the place to find studs,, usually one night stand types of relationships, but ,, and I say again,, but is not always the case. So sure,, I suppose good sound everlasting relationships can start with meeting someone at the bar or nightclub. Sure,, why not? it is very possible because people to do meet in such places and the outcome does not have to be as one would normally experience.

I meet a man in a bar several years and now we're married..I love him very much and he loves me we have a very good relationship..
On the other hand I have a friend who meet a man at the bar they got married and after 1 year are now getting a divorce..
So really it could go eighter way.. But thats true if you meet at church or antwhere.. Follow your heart... It will find you the person your to spend the rest of your life with

I haven't ever met one that lasted very long because I consider them friends before dating......usually they don't turn out to be anything special. There is a couple that I know that met a club and ended up married but I think they are the exception to the rule.

I met my future wife in 97 in a nightclub....found out we shared birthdays exactly 4 years apart. We have been married since 2002. My parents met when my dad met my mom in a bar back in the 60's. They married the same year and have been ever since. Just to let you know, it seems that we tend to hook up with others even though it isnt our intention when we go out on the town!

I'm sure someone somewhere has formed a relationship with a bar hookup, but I don't know anyone who has. Most people trawling the bar scene aren't looking for something permanent.

Bar is not your best option. I have heard of only one relationship forming and them getting married. So that was probably a freak incident.

I met my wife in a bar and have been happily married for 5 years. I REALLY could not be much happier. She is an amazing woman!!!
