The tail is their rudder and barometer.
1)Tail up is a sign of I'm boss and I'm aggressive (not good when dogs meet)
2)tail even means Hi there less meet and play,(good behavior)
3)tail between the legs, extremely submissive and will probably be attacked by other dogs. Needs confidence building training.

A wagging tale does not always mean I'm happy. A wager can also attack so be careful.

A wagging that is going more to the dog's right means they know and respect the person, wagging more to the dog"s left means I don't know you but I'm willing to check you out (be careful)

And of course there are lots of other body signals to learn.

I'm not a professional, but it seems they wag their tail for different reasons.

lots wag their tails because theyre happy, but i've encountered a lot of dogs which growl at me, and wag their tails, it's like.. theyre sending mixed messages :))

dogs that wag their tail more to the left are happy, more to the right, threatened, like ppls faces, happier expressions can be detected more on the right(i could have them mixed?) and vice versa
