My dogs have tought me how to enjoy life more. I never knew how fun and relaxing rolling in the grass could be until my beasts showed me.

I've learned how to get over myself. My newfie puppy is so clumsy sometimes but he just takes it in stride and goes on being adorable. I would say that dogs can be very humbling and teach you to not be so selfish. My cats on the other end have a "each cat for them selves" mentality!

fizzygurrl1980's - I've already accepted the fact that I will be a crazy dog lady, my husband also reminds my of this when I cannot walk through the house with out at least my 2 dogs and 1 or more of my cats followig me. He watches too much MTV and has decided that they are my "posse" oy!

At the risk of sounding like a crazy dog lady, I learn something from my bulldog Manny every day. This morning, I learned that sometimes it's more important to eat breakfast than it is to be on time to work. Yesterday, I learned that patience (in his case, waiting for me to finish doing laundry and play with him) pays off in a BIG way (I finally looked at how cute he was sitting there, and I played tug-of-war with him for a solid half hour.) Last week, I learned that knocking over a trash can full of garbage is infinitely more fun than $60 worth of dog toys. Oh, and every day I am reminded that no matter how unimportant I can ever feel in my everyday work life, I am a superstar in my dog's eyes. I've never seen anyone so happy to see me as he is!!! : )

To be patient, more giving and loving. I have also learned to enjoy nature more. When I am doing things outside with my dog I really enjoy the world around me and forget about everything else except for that moment. I love that about my dog. I have learned to be calmer and that anxiety doesn't help me or her. I couldn't imagine my life without a dog.

I had my cat heaven since I was 3, I am 14 now, she died on November 4th of 2007, she tought me more than anyone else on earth, she tought me to be patient, she tought me to be kind, she was the first one to find me when I would cry, she knew if I was sick, and if I was she wouldn't leave my side for even a minute, she was the best ever. She was the most loving, caring pet or person I knew. Animals can teach us more than we know, they are loyal, and care for their owner like family, infact Heaven to me was my bestfriend.

I have learned that I'm impatient. I hate spoiled people/animals. I have anger problems. and I'm violent..

lol but I wouldn't actually hurt my dog, that's sorta sick.

great question though, I guess I have learned a lot about myself.

I have learned from my cats that it is entirely possible to be content to do nothing for 18-20+ hours a day, day after day after day.
