christians (and most religions) tend to be very strong in their faith. what do you consider your personal (or international) proof that god (or a god) exists. Here are the answers i'm NOT looking for:
The Bible says so
My priest says so
-anything rude, crude, or inappropriate-
It's my belief, respect it
I can feel his presence in my heart (etc)
Or anything else that wouldn't hold any weight for non- believers

Just something scientific or of that sort. I don't mean to be rude i really just want someone's perspective on this

God says He has given many proofs of His existance just by looking at the world around you. He also says that we are without excuse , all of us, for thinking He doesnt exist.

He also says "The fool has said in His heart, there is no God."

Thats enuff for me.

I believe God exists from reading the Bible, STUDYING the Bible and learning something INTERESTING about the Bible. I believe the Bible to be completely true (yes, there are some PARABLES that Jesus used that may be made up. We don't know for sure).
What is one thing interesting about the Bible? The Bible has never been proven wrong Historically, Scientifically, Geographically or Archaeologically.
So, why can I not accept the REST of the Bible as being true?
If you won't or can't accept that, oh well.

Scientifically? No one can object it either, scientifically. No one knows until we're six feet under, so asking for a scientific response for something like this is odd. It's a lot easier for atheists to list reasons NOT to believe in God or a God, than for believers to list why they DO -- scientifically of course. We all have the word of God in our heart & soul, and no amount of science can compete with something like that.

And as so many have stated: to an extent, it really is rude to ask this.

Haha AND ... something else that someone pointed out, why are Christian's the ones being targeted? Why not other people of other beliefs?

As requested:

The following is from one of my contacts: Lion of Judah:
Entropy and Causality used as a proof for God's existence:

The second law of thermodynamics states that the amount of energy in a system that is available to do work is decreasing. Entropy increases as available energy decreases. In other words, the purely natural tendency of things is to move toward chaos, not order, and available energy necessary for work is lost (mostly as heat) in this process. Eventually, the universe will run down and all life and motion will cease. This is the natural tendency of all things. Batteries run down, machines break, buildings crumble, roads decay, living things die, etc. Left to the natural state, all things would eventually cease to function.

The universe is not infinitely old because it has not "run down."
If the universe were infinitely old, it would have reached a state where all usable energy is gone.
But, we are not in this state; therefore, the universe is not infinitely old and must have had a beginning.
Because the universe has had a beginning it is not infinite in size.
It would require an infinite amount of time to become infinite in size. Since the universe had a beginning, it has not had an infinite amount of time to expand; therefore, it is finite in size.
All events have causes.
There cannot be an infinite regress of events because that would mean the universe were infinitely old.
We've already established the universe cannot be infinitely old.
If it were infinitely old, the universe would be in a state of unusable energy, which it is not.
If it were infinitely old, the universe would be infinitely large, which it is not.
Since the universe is finite and had a beginning and there cannot be an infinite number of regressions of causes to bring it into existence, there must be a single uncaused cause of the universe.
A single uncaused cause of the universe must be greater in size and duration than the universe it has brought into existence.
Otherwise, we have the uncaused cause bringing into existence something greater than or equal to itself.
Any cause that is natural to the universe is part of the universe.
An event that is part of the universe cannot cause itself to exist.
Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause outside the universe.
An uncaused cause cannot be a natural part of the universe which is finite.
An uncaused cause would be infinite in both space and time since it is greater than which it has caused to exist.
An uncaused cause would be separate from the universe.
Being separate from the universe, which was caused to be, it would not be subject to the laws of the universe since it existed independent of the universe and its laws.
This would mean that entropy need not be required of the uncaused cause.
This uncaused cause is supernatural.
By supernatural is meant completely 'other' than the universe and is not the product of it.
This uncaused cause must be incredibly powerful to bring the universe into existence.
The Bible teaches that God is uncaused, is not part of the universe, created the universe, and is incredibly powerful.
God's existence (in Christianity) is not an event, but a state.
Psalm 90:2 says that God is God without a beginning.
This means that God is uncaused.
Therefore, the God of the Bible is the uncaused cause of the universe.

An example of scientific proof that God exists is Earth. Its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life. So if God doesn't exist then how come Earth is so perfect?

I have seen his works in my life. I have felt of his presence. I have seen miracles. I know he exists.

I can't expect you to believe something that has happened to me. We each need to know for ourselves. You're not going to get a better answer than that here on Yahoo Answers. Is there proof that wind exists? Can you describe how salt tastes? You can go about it a number of ways and still not get the answers you are looking for. Your senses can lie to you, Logic is flawed. We cannot find truth on our own. We need a third party to show us the way.

When it comes right down to it you have to be asking yourself why? Why are we here? I can't imagine that we are accidents. That life on earth has little to no meaning. It would be a devastating life to think that there is no purpose, that we were just an accident in the universe. Our bodies are so complex, everything thing here on earth is so complex to believe that is just came about by accident. Science has proven, and continues to prove its complexities. It just gives hope to know that a loving being created you and is there to help you through your struggles. As beautiful and complex as this earth is, it has its problems, it has its wars, it has its hard times. It would be harder without the help that God is there willing to give to those that believe. He makes burdens light. Sometimes without the person even knowing that it has happened. He is there regardless if science can't prove him, He proves science. I'm sure he uses that laws we discover and has been using them long before we even comprehended them.

Your question isn't rude, per se, but if you limit personal experience (feel God's presence in my heart) you will not get many answers. Faith is not within the scientific realm. I can tell you that my faith is strengthened through seeing answers to prayers. However, it's obvious that any answer to prayer--no matter how amazing-can be dismissed by that all-purpose word "coincidence." To me, an existence without God is illogical and frankly, rather flat. Again, not a scientific answer.

Im not a christian so this isnt a real answer, but when you consider the size, the complexity and everything else about the universe its pretty hard to believe it happened by accident or an explosion. I mean we basic building blocks a millionth of a millimeter in size and they can make up iron, stars or even life. To make this a bit more scientific I remember reading that there are 7 or so basic forces to the universe (gravity, Strong force...) and most of them could be changed by 1 or 2% and life and the universe would most likely still exist, but one of these forces if it was changed by a millionth of a percent then the universe never would have formed. I'm sure I could have explained this better but hey, I'm not a christian, I'm not defending my belief.

There isn't scientific evidence of Christ's existence. There is, though historical evidence. Most history teachers will agree that there are three major ways of historically proving something is real: eyewitnesses, oral or written records, artifacts.

For written records, they look at how many original copies of something can be found and the time span between the original text and the first copy. There are only about five copies of each of Aristotle's works, and there's over one-thousand years between the original and the first copies. There have been six-hundred twenty-seven original coppies of 'The Illiad and the Odessey' found, and there's about 700-1000 years between the original and the first copies. There's over 25,000 original copies of the New Testament in existence, and there was only about 40 years between the original copy of the Gospel of Mark and the first copies.

As for the other two, Matthew and John were both eyewitnesses as well as hundres of others, who passed oral reports on to Luke, Mark, and thousands of others. How do we have the tomb of Christ if Christ never existed. What about Noah's Ark? Parts of it have said to be found. If the worldwide flood never happened, how did we find a giant boat on top of a mountain? And why is Mt. Ararat covered with pillow lava if it's never been under water. The following civilizations all have accounts of a worldwide flood where the human race was saved by one family on an ark: Babylon, Persia, Cyria, Asia Minor (Turkey), Grease, Egypt, Italy, Lithuania, Wales, Scandinavia, Lapland, Russia, China, India, Alaska, Cherokee, Cree, Aztecs, Peru, Brazil, Fiji Islands, Hawaii, Sumatra, and at least ten other Native American tribes.

I could go on and on with evidence like that. If you want to hear it all, email me. My world history teacher has gobs of it. hyperactress23@yahoo.com

Oops, you've given the whole weakness of your question away in that last line: "Just something scientific...". I'm afraid that until scientists are able to measure the dimensions of a metaphysical property, science will be wholly incapable of dealing with religion.

I just persoannly think that all the things created on this earth just didn`t come to being on their own, they were all created (I don`t care about the details of how, suddenly or in stages, what ever the means was.... they were created). Creation doesn`t happen on its own, someone creates it, and the same Being that creates, is the one that takes care. And believe me for my 30 yrs of life on earth, the harmony in the universe convinces me that he is taking damn good care of His Creations (generally and over-ally speaking looking at the bigger picture and not nitpicking a certain earth-quake or a flood). The harmony of the day and night created by the motion of the earth around the sun, the creation of water and life in it and how the ships sail the oceans, how the birds stay still in the air , how the fish have harmony with water and the birds have harmony with the air, and my personal life and little and big acts of kindness I see in myself and in people around me ..... to me it all originates from God, He created the instincts in the mother to take care of her baby (animal or human) this and much (times infinity) more is a clear proof to me. Not only do i believe in Him strongly, I love and adore Him, and everytime I see all this I know he is there, my human eye can not see Him or comprehend Him but I see His signs. I see me, I see others.
