I'm wanting to get my husband tix for the coming race...but I have no idea where would be best to sit! Superstretch, the towers, by pit road, away? I have no clue!!!
Any help would be welcome, but please leave the super pricey tickets out of it! I have to consider the cost of hotel rooms & flights as well, so I'm on a definite budget!

I'm not looking for rock bottom prices...just not going to pay 500/ticket...you know?
I'm willing to pay more to be able to actually *see* the race and not guess which car is which - I'm not naive enough to think that for $100 I'm going to see the drivers sneeze or something like that.

Well I am glad I thought of this today! There are hardly any tickets left, let alone any together! But I did get us pretty decent seats on the backstretch in the row that from my understanding is the last one below the tower seats...all the tower seats available are nearly sold out and it's damn near impossible to find seats together. But hey...he's got tickets and it's Daytona, so just the experience itself will be worth it. Thanks so much for all the input!! :)

I've never been to the 500, but my buddies and I go down for the 400 night race July 4th weekend every year. Our seats are right in front of the exit to pit road about 10 rows back from the track and they are amazing seats. It's awesome to see everyone jockeying for position as they get back on the track, and depending on who gets the pole/starts near the front, we are right there. Three years ago I didn't go and there was a big crash that ended up with Kasey Kahne stopping right in front of where we sit. I was jumping up and down knowing my buddies had a front row seat to the action... When I spoke to them they said it really brought home the fact that these guys put themselves in danger when they go out on the track, parts and gravel/dust were flying everywhere they said. Hope you find some good seats! Only a month to go until the 50th 500!!

Any seat in any tower! Stay away from the backstretch, IMO. And along the frontstretch the lower you sit, the less the view you have directly in front of you and across to the backstretch. If you are on a budget, take what you can get. Just go! You wont regret it. If you have money to spend, then TOWER seats are by far the way to go.

I've never been there but I would say the frontstretch or the seats near turn 3. You can never go wrong with pit passes, get to meet the drivers and see the cars. Have fun if you go to Daytona!!!

Turn 1 or 4. Do not buy 300 or 200 seats because you cannot see the track well from those seats.

Good luck with the ticket search. I've never been, so I can't tell you where would be a good seat. Enjoy the race. I'll be watching from home :)
