I wouldn't turn him down, but I would worry about how well we'd be able to raise a family together and afford a mortgage, car payments, etc. if a relationship were to form.

I will tell you how I choose a partner, it might be a little on the corny side to you, it depends on the age group you are trying to attract. People in the world, this is a personal opinion, base too much of a relationship, on finances . If we could just look past the material things, life would be much more enjoyable. I don't need to know what my man makes on his paycheck, as long as he can pay the bills. A little extra cash is always nice to have. If he goes to work everyday and gives it his all, then that should be enough for his lady. After all he can only do the best he knows how . Love should override luxuries

It does depend what the job was I think and if he was trying to get a job that would pay for the bills. Also the area you live in makes a complete difference as well. If the cost of living is high and I'm footing most of the bills then now I'd tell him he was to search for a better job. My parents have constantly told me when picking guys to date and potential be with to make sure they have a clear head on their shoulder and an education so they can help support both of us but I myself still need to find a job where I don't need his money if its not coming in. Its a give give situation. If I'm only making that much, I can't expect him to do more either. Fair playing ground.

I dated a guy who worked at a minimum wage job. One time he didn't have money to take me out on a date or couldn't pay his cellphone bill, but I thought he was a nice guy, he had a good personality. Guess what, he ended up dumping me and I have no clue why.

no I wouldn't I would actually be happy with a Guy like that it would mean he is not stuck up or something like that and it would also be a good thing for me it would mean I would have to find a job and pay my own way through all my hard times and not my boyfriend pay for me.

I wouldn't date him because he was good-looking, for starters. But I don't know what you mean by a low status job. Like a person who has only bosses and no one below him? I wouldn't overlook someone who was happy in his current position, even if it was a cashier at McDonald's, as long as he could support himself.

Yes. My mate dries a taxi, so sometimes he makes nothing in 2 hours...sometimes a hundred. Top it off, 300 bucks a week goes right to the taxi's owner.
Call me crazy, but I'll shack up with anyone if I really love 'em

My boyfriend actually does make s*** money, I make triple him; and if I work at the airport I bring home more working 8 hours (at time & 1/2) than he does in one week. (he inherited a somewhat pricey house, so owns free & clear)

Yes, if he truly was a good guy. Stuff and money do not make people happy. Love and trust does that.
