I like lip rings, i'd prefer studs though. What causes infections is not cleaning the piercing (it is a hole in your skin of course) plus if you have allergies to some types of metals that can also cause infections. If you are allergic to some metals you can just get hypoallergenic rings/studs. Also, with getting a job (or if you already have a job) some don't care just talk to your boss about it. If they don't allow it then you can take it out while at work for one, or two you can buy invisible studs, they are just clear rubber studs for any piercing.

Hey there i think lip piercings are so cool and your so lucky that your getting one because i have wanted one for ages but my parents that are doctors think otherwise but i am getting one but i would wear lip studs rather than the rings cause it soots me better but lip rings are awesome too

It depends on the person. Personally I think studded lip rings look the best and it should be centred; the middle of the bottom lip, roughly half an inch down.

Well depends on who you are I guess. If you are slender a lip ring would accentuate, anhorexic and it will be too much. Overweight it will be drowned. You should be fine, judging by your little pic. Anyway you should get the belly button too.

Their all right, my brother got one and it almost got infected. If you are prepared to rise your mouth really often and make sure it stays clean then yeah I mean they are not really a big deal and I dont see why people would look at you any differently.

They look great on some people, but I couldn't see one on myself. Plus if it got caught or ripped out, oh man :\

I hate them. they are sooooo pathetic and if you want one, u shouldn't be aloud to get one till your 18.
a girl in my 7th grade class is 14 ( she got held back ) and she got her lip peirced. then like a week later the ring was gone and now she has a huge scar. i think she got her nose peirced now. her life is all screwed up.
dont get it, its so pathetic. when your older ( like in your 40's or 50's ) you'll have huge holes in your body. its stupid
