I know this has probably been asked before, but I'm curious about how people feel in dreams. For example, you may be unaware that you are dreaming but be conscious in the sense that you are thinking and deciding like you would in your waking life, but still not realize you are dreaming. Or, you may lucid dream and make conscious decisions and realize you are dreaming.

I am almost always conscious during my dreams, and I think and feel about the same, other than reduced physical abilities like running slowly. I also seem to keep my moral values, and even in dreams I think that something is wrong, or that I shouldn't do it, even if I am lucid dreaming. However, somehow I dismiss things like breathing underwater. For example yesterday I convinced myself it was just bad for you, and that it was simply special water. Last night I had a lucid dream, and the way I found out I was dreaming was because I am in high school, but I dreamed I was in middle school.

How about you?

Oh yeah, tell me if this is the wrong section. I just thought this was the most appropriate place to put this.

I have a certain sense that I know what I'm doing, and yet I completely forget about what is going on

Every time I wake up it feels a little lighter than normal, and the events of my real life unfold before I am quite disappointed to find out that I was actually asleep

I have actually fallen in love when I was asleep, one of the few dreams I remember

I have also noticed that I always talk to myself when I am waking up, about the dream, I have said things like,
"Yeah but I'm not really bothered"
"Who hates us?"
"What happened, okay this is what happened"

I have also tried to recite my dreams but the moment I start to think, I forget them

When I was seriously into studying my dreams, I got to where I could interpret them as I had them. So, rather than being conscious, as you said, I think it is more a matter of awareness while you sleep. I have not attempted lucid dreaming, preferring to let whatever happens in my dreams, happen naturally. I don't want to muddy the message with wish fulfillment. But, I have never really studied lucid dreaming in depth, so I may be way off the mark about it, too.
BTW, this is not an inappropriate place to put this question. I saw nothing wrong with it.

I control my dreams at times, and tend to be aware I am dreaming, so I tend not to be bothered much by what goes on knowing that harm will not come to me. Of course I sometimes make connections with some spirits that are a struggle to deal with. You are just very spiritually aware. Meditation, exercise, and a healthy diet will help you deal effectively with whatever your dreams present.
