I have tried it before! Thank you for bringing it up. I think I will do it this coming year.
It helped me to remember to THANK God more and count all of my blessings.
I also realized that praying for the well-being of others helped me.
One thing I did was to ask the Lord to bless those who didn't like me.
It was amazing how my attitudes changed.

If you'll write it down, you can see how long it takes God to reply and how He replies. Always be very aware of the Holy Spirit and what the Holy Spirit does for you daily. He is the absolute best friend that I could ever want to have. Something as simple as always and I mean always getting me an upfront parking spot. God loves to make Himself known to you. Be aware of God because He is all around you. If we could see in that invisible dimension, we could see how many times God's angel saves us from harm. We are precious to the Lord. God said we are fearfully and wonderfully made. If we only knew who we are, we'd be shocked and surprised at who we could become or what we could do. BELIEVE!
Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things." Remind God of this Scripture.
And then wait upon the Lord.

I'm so much better written than out loud. I make more sense and can figure out what I really want and need. For me, it's much easier and more enlightening. Writing brings me much closer to God.
At the same time, I think spoken prayer is SO powerful. Don't forget that God is really there all the time listening. So we've got to practice really saying the things to Him that we would to a friend, father, and protector.

Not long ago, I found a Prayer Journal I had written many years ago, It was interesting and encouraging to see how my prayers have come to fruition and see how my faith has grown since then.
When going through a rough patch in life, it is very helpful to write down your feelings and needs as you commune with God. It isn't for Him so much. It is for us, his children.

In my religion (Islam), whenever I'm learning a new Surah, I write it down..it's the only way I can memorise Allah's wonderful words.
Peace

Yes, I write down my prayers and blessings. I think it is a way of reinforcing them.

Why would I write down a prayer? If I want something to happen I either do something to make it happen or I resign myself to the fact that it's out of my control. Writing it down is just a waste of time, ink and paper.
