Whenever I get my eyes examined they do the thing where you look at whatever image is there and then they shoot a large amount of air into your eye!
I have to do it about 5 times, because I know what will happen and I close my eye last minute!

Does anyone else have a problem with this?

Yes, but what's even worse is that my eye doctor has changed the test so now instead of the suspenseful agonizing wait for a puff of air to blast my eye, they put eye drops in that numb your eyeball. Next they use a pen-like machine with a sensitive tip on it to poke at your eye to test the pressure in it. It's the freakiest experience ever because you can see that they are touching your eye, but you can't feel it. Sometimes I wish the little tractor, air puff machine would come back.

I only stick with the same eye doctor because he's really hot :)

Lots!

Although non-contact tonometry was introduced to improve patient comfort and convenience, a fair proportion of patients would prefer local anaesthetic eyedrops and Goldmann applanation tonometry!

It should be pointed out that this is not "the" glaucoma test and in fact, on its own, is less important the examining the visual fields and the optic disc on the retina.
These three *taken together* are required to give anything like a confident assessment of the presence or absence of glaucoma.

Yes, this is the glaucoma test. I always have a problem with it too because it seems like I am holding my eye open forever just for them to shoot air into it lol. No worries hun, you are not the only one that cant keep their eye open for this test.
