I had a friend who flirted and played on our emotions but he denied anything knowing what he did. He has been married four or so times within the last 15 years.

Women do it to men also , I think people that do that have some sort of narcistic personality disorder and have no idea what it's like to be hurt or they wouldn't be hurting others....

I think I understand your point.. you knowing this guy has been married for the amount of time should be a tip for you. You should not even associate with him because his job is hurting women's feelings. I do not understand how you can keep this kind of person as a friend in the first place!!!! When he started flirting, you should have completely ignored him... He is a jump around and really does not know what he wants in life... I might not be completely be understanding your question, but I hope it helped.... BTW.... my point is this kind of guys usually don't know the goal of life, so they don't understand what they are doing... All the best...

Yeah, I know that guy. He is a great charmer, and although not the best looking guy, he knows exactly what to say and do to get any girl he wants to fall in love. It's just charisma. Since he has this power, he doesn't seem to discriminate at all about who he is with, it is just fun to use that ability on anyone at all. He could pick a girl out of the line at the grocery store and start to work his magic....the next thing you know he would be married. Then just as quickly they are divorced, probably because he didn't really care to start with, the newness wears off and he becomes withdrawn and cold.
Been married 5 times and working on number 6 I am sure. I know because I am the one who loves him, he comes back in between the wives, but he can't admit to really being in love with me. He just wants to keep playing the game.

Most of the Guys r selfish...and just see their own benefit....than hurting womens emotions or playing with women...is nothin...and as u said he is married for around 4-5 times in last 15 years....so i dnt need to explain nything.....he knows what he wants...most of the Guys they dnt know how to respect women...thats a big problem nowadays in our society....defination of a women is limited to " a machine for.....advice : "let the things b as they r ...as acceptance is the greatest key to relaxation"...I apologize if said sumthin wrong and no offence to nyone....

The same reason that women play with men's emotions. Because there is a sadistic pleasure in having power and using it to hurt others. Sad, but true.

We all hold a purpose that runs deeper then we show, its just the way we FEEL, not so much the way we think. He is perverse in his actions, but trust, he pays for it in his own way. Your only hope with anything like this, is to requnize the purposes individual hold by their actions, not their words. See by their charater what kind of individual they are. But we make our mistakes, learn from this. Just understand, with his actions, that he see's the world in a different context based on a general mistrust of all people, a dog eat dog world, this puts him alone and on his own mission, seperate from us. Honestly, should of looked deep into his story, I be more then sure there be plenty of wholes, are some pretty obvious bs, like the 4 marriage thing. But I trust alot was learned later, next time be active in your pursuit of the person, then maybe you would of know the answer for yourself, no offense sweet pea ;-) I know you to be brighter.

Someone married that many times soesn't really know what he wants in a woman let alone in life. It's not emotions he is hurting but rather himself. He is just to dumb to see pass the self pity... guys are not men all to often the become boys....

Most of the time guys are oblivious of girls' feelings. If the guy is too self-centered then he probably isn't going to realized that he is hurting the girl. Other times guys just don't understand how sensitive a girl can be.

forget him! married 4 or 5 times come on girl he isnt worth the heartache, find you someone better than him, there are some good men out there, hard to find but they are out there!
