Karma is not punitive it is remedial. Unfortunately, we all learn from negative experiences, rather than possitive.
Karma simply put is this: Whatever cause you put forth (your actions, good or bad) you must live out the effects.
The girl and the parents will live out the effects of their actions, as will we all.

Karma is a complicated concept within Hinduism and Buddhism that has been simplified and turned into a pop-culture idea to promote guilt or a sense of retribution or vindication. 1. It originally referred to attending to religious observances (making offerings to the gods in the appropriate way) and culturally defined responsibilities. 2. It was a term applied to a somewhat scientific observation of cause and effect, action and reaction. 3. At some point, it was also used in relation to the idea of merit and demerit, sin and punishment, or punishment and vindication.
In the west, we have a parallel idea of "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" or the idea of "what you do comes back to you" and that God will be our champion because he likes you (who supposedly are in the right) more than the person who hurt you (who supposedly is in the wrong). The truth is that life is full of ups and downs, of gains and losses, and hurts and regrets and that Everyone does self-serving things that other people may experience as hurtful and that may have repercussions not because of some supernatural idea of "karma" but because of consequences and laws related to cause and effect.
Karma and God don't have that much to do with each other. But if you can develop yourself into a person with a mind and heart that is more in keeping with basic spiritual truths about cultivating compassion for and understanding of yourself and others, you will be able to modify your behavior to bring less hardship into your life and the lives of others, and when hardships, hurts, and losses come your way, you will have a different, wiser perspective and more effective way of managing them.

Sorry, it ain't gonna happen. I lost 2 kids I loved totally. I had one person tell me that "One day something terrible will happen to her, then you'll know she's been paid back..." That's beyond bs. Getting closer to god helps many people. It does give you a community. I think the truth is that there simply is no god, but community and friends help if you let them.

Yes, ASK GOD for exactly what you just stated in your question!
Karma - though it differs mostly in the word - the Bible says you reap what you sow. In other words, you get what you give. If you are a curse to others, you will be cursed. If you are a blessing to others, you will be blessed.

I think all religions accept karma in one form or another. Christianity, for instance, uses the concepts of heaven and hell for those who do good or bad.
As to your problems: GOD helps those who help themselves. Move on with your life.

I don't think karma is a christian doctrine. As for the the other stuff, three things can greatly help you in your time of need. Prayer and faith, your family, and your friends.
