Without seeing it, I can only imagine! I wish I was there I'd love to tackle the job.

Just as others have said, go to Target or WalMart and get some deep baskets and plastic bins.
If you need extra hangers for the closet, buy good quality durable plastic hangers.
Pick your clothes up off the floor, hand your pants on the hangers. Fold t-shirts and place them in drawers, underwear and socks can also be placed in either a drawer or a bin under the bed.

Any sports equipment can be placed on shelves or in the closet. Plus, all your seasonal clothes that you are not wearing can be placed in a bin and put away until next year. Books should be on shelves not the floor. If you have a lot of books, maybe you could get some shelving or a bookcase? Even some nice bookends would work!

Have fun with cleaning!

Here's a suggestion to help break things down. Don't tackle the entire room at one time. Break it down to smaller sections. Say, work on this dresser one day, under the bed the next, then the closet, etc. As you go, divide your things up into three groups: keep, toss, and other. The toss pile is obvious. That would contain all your trash and the things that you no longer want that aren't in good enough shape to give to anyone else. The keep pile is the things you definitely don't want to part with. As you go, try to put these things where they belong. The other pile is the stuff you aren't really sure you want to keep, or is stuff you want to get rid of that's in good enough shape to give to someone else. The stuff you can give away, do that as soon as possible. For the stuff you're not sure what you want to do with, box it up. If you don't use it or even miss it three months later, get rid of it. If you just take small babysteps, a big job will be much easier to tackle.

Try painting your walls as a goal and in the meantime clean it up really good with help from friends and music playing to make it fun. To plan re-decorating your room try visiting lowes website or some room decorating websites. I also like that spacebag thing it helps a lot if you have a cluttered room.

If you haven't used something in over a year its probable safe to let it go. You could get some plastic tubs to store things in and put labels on them so things are easy to find. Make sure they are stackable. They also make bins for storing things under the bed. Organization is the key. If you cannot find what you are looking for its not worth having.

Go through every thing in your room. Make three piles: One for trash, One for give away or sell and One for keeping. Move furniture out and clean room thoroughly. Paint if needed. Clean carpet if it has any. Buy new area rugs and bedding if you can afford them. Choose your favorite wall art and go with those colors for accessories in your room.

ya the box idea is a reallly good one. you could put the boxes on top of your closet or something or stuff it under you bed. in the morning if you tidy your bed after you wake up it will make your room look 50% cleaner. i always try to motivate myself but it just doesnt work with me. but its definetely worth a try.

1] get rid of clothes you haven't worn in a year - donate it [ clean please ] or throw it out if it is too small, too big, too ugly, or too raggedy.
2] repeat with books, music, videos, toys, games, electronics
3] toss all obvious trash
4] get shelf dividers for closet - put hats/scarves/mittens, Tshirts, sweaters, on shelf
5] get shoe racks for shoes
6] get clear underbed storage for items you can't bear to get rid of
7] put all skin care, hair care in a tackle box, to keep in bathroom or carry back and forth
8] organize drawers - top - breifs/boxers, undershirts, socks;
then Ts, more sweaters; then jeans; then sweats and other exercise clothes.
9] All robes, jackets, hoodies should be on a hanger or a hook in closet

a on an identical time as back, my little ones have been scuffling with the comparable venture. one element that we found out grow to be they had too plenty stuff (our fault) and freshen up rapidly became overwhelming to them. We weeded distinctive products out and located that they performed with issues extra in many cases and had an less complicated time (no longer suitable time) cleansing up. Your daughter is 4 so telling her what to do and awaiting it continually to be finished, may well be unreasonable. i could propose which you help her to freshen up on the comparable time on a daily basis for a on an identical time as. this could be good modeling for her besides as scuffling with the activity from getting out of hand. as quickly as this has grow to be a commonly used ordinary, many times purely telling her it's time to freshen up may well be all it takes. If issues have been given out of hand, we used a black plastic bag to p.c.. up toys that have been continuously on the floor. there have been some tears, however the toys have been rapidly forgotten. Later, it grow to be exciting to unpack the black bag if we felt our babies have been waiting for them back. good success.
