Does anyone know of websites that relate to Veterans from world war 2 as I am trying to do some research about a relative that served in the war, Ideally a website run by Veteran(s) would be ideal.

I have already tried the National Archives and the Tameside Borough Council websites but cant find any info

The reason I am asking for veterans websites is , they might have known him personally all the articles were destroyed in a fire so archives and Gov websites are no good

There were over 15 million American men and women that served in WWII. It's going to be difficult to find information on 1 service member. Here is a good place to start you search.
