just any painting that makes you really feel warm... one where you can really sense the happiness present.. it could be shown in, i don't know, maybe a person's face?

alot of marc chagall paintings exude happiness. esp the romantic or wedding ones

grandma moses paintings have a happy content theme


Many of henri matisse paintings exhibit joy and esp due to the colour scheme in it

It is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
At the time,
Chagall, then a young man, was living in Vitsyebsk in Belarus. He was engaged to Bella - who is shown in the painting. It was his birthday and she brought flowers to his studio. And he painted him and her kissing at that moment. The happiness and ecstasy of this kiss showing them levitating in the air. This is certainly an example of a mood of great happiness depicted in a painting.

At the risk of sounding terribly cliché, I would have to say that Van Gogh's Starry Night is so full of exuberance and wonder, that I cannot but smile and feel an infectious childlike sense of wonder and awe when seeing it. It reminds me of stellar fireworks.
