well. i'm sixteen, and i'm super skinny. way too skinny if you ask me. i do eat, actually that's basically all i do. and i gain no weight what so ever. i hate being this skinny. i think it looks gross, i look like the girls in magazines that are anorexic! i'm 5'6.. 5'7? one of the two, and i weight only 92lbs, i'm guessing that's really unhealthy, but i don't gain weight what so ever. :/ blah enough of my ranting. HELP!!!

Sounds as though you have a really revved up metabolism. That's something I'd pay really really good money for- but like you I agree, not good to be too skinny.
The overall principles of gaining weight are exact opposite of losing- you need to consume more calories than you burn.
Exercise may help you bulk some muscle up which will help you look more "healthy"- but if you start an exercise regimen you will probably need to supplement with additional calories so your body doesn't turn to muscle for energy stores. I'm not sure what your diet consists of- but quality as well as quantity does matter. Empty calories for thin or fat people are still empty calories.
Having low body fat can be detrimental to development so if you have a concern about that- always consult a doc to make sure there isn't something needing to be addressed. On occasion, people have OVER active thyroids which increases the metabolism and causes other problems. I'm thinking- without extra info- that skinny is just where your body is "programmed" to be right now so support it with the nutrition best you can, and maybe exercise to build up some muscle tone to help fill out your frame (and gain weight- albeit lean weight).
Wish I had your problem, I'm on the other end of the scale, but I hope this helps you some ;) Best of luck and happy new year!

Well I'm just about 90 pounds myself, and my reason for being this skinny is because my doctor told me that I just have a very very high metabolism, and when I eat food it digests it so fast that my body just needs more food all the time, and I eat constantly. You also might have a very very high metabolism like me, so you should not eat big meals all the time, but you should eat a small amount all the time. You aren't sick your body just has a high digestive rate, I also can't gain weight, but If you accept yourself, you will understand that you are fine and you shouldn't care about what other people think about you.

Many teenagers are very thin, but they put on weight automatically as they grow older. This is because teenagers have a very high metabolic rate and burn calories fast. So teenagers should not try to put on weight by eating fatty food, since it is difficult to lose this fat later.

i help guys like you all the time. you can gain by eating more and more. but, most people can't afford it, what i would reccomend for someone like you is what they call a gainer. its usually a combination of a few things;
proteins/amino acids (to protect, repair, and build muscle)
fats (good fats like omega 3,6, and 9)
calories (alot of calories, like 1000 cals per serving)
and some vitamins minerals, and electrolytes.
this i a brother site. check it out.
This is a healthy way of gaining, i do recommend working out to stay healthy. if you have more questions let me know.
