The crime was a misdemeanor in a different state. It has been expunged. Can medical schools see this type of record?

Apparently once a record is expunged, a record of expungement stays. Can medical schools see this "record of expungement"? Does it matter that it happened in a different state? The record expunged was a misdemeanor charge.

Anybody who does a through background check will see past the expungment.

Also any federal background check cannot be blocked by an expungment.

if the record is expunged, your school should not see it. Any law enforcement or other federal agency will be able to see it.

if you were not fingerprinted, it should not show up in criminal history check, only in a check with the agency or court that you dealt with.
