microsoft office?

I just bought a new laptop and it needs microsoft office. Can I use the office CD that I bought for my desktop on my laptop, or do I have to buy a new one?

ps. sorry, I don't know much about computers .

Sure you can install the program wherever you like. You bought it and have all rights. Hopefully, you have the installation numbers. Good luck.
