I had a stroke July 2, 2006. The women from my church got thogether and prayed for me all afternoon.
It was a major stroke where my left side was parilized, and it showed up on the CTscan that it wsas in my right frontal lobe--this is the creative area of the brain. Satan knows that I'm an artist and a designer, he wanted to take this away from me. Also I just started to teach at Resthome Ministeries--he wanted to stop that too.
They had me set up for an MRI the next morning. The evening before I struggled down to the little chaple in our hospital , using that thing they hang your IV on as a crutch. I found a Bible that a good Christian doctor friend of mine had gotten for there. I prayed and read until 3:00 am. Them went back to my bed.
When I woke up at 7:00 AM- I was perfectly fine--NOTHING left from the stroke. I had prayed for Gods will in my life , and if he wanted me to minister from being in the resthome-"then so be it-But if this was from the enemy ,Please help me".
I got to the hospital too late for them to give me the shot thAt they have to help. My only help I had was from the Lord. The doctor said that there was Nothing that they could do.
At 7:30 they did the MRI ---THERE WAS NOTHING THERE---I was healed. My doctor came in to see me and was shocked and amazed--everythng was fine.
He finally agreed to let me go home--after a lot of prodding.
My friends and I just kept praising the Lord.
And I STILL DO!!!!!!!!!!
Praise be to the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are so many things that I could tell you that it would take forever!
My husband was Healed of a heart attack ,JUST 6 days ago.
And this was because of prayer!
He WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU> I know this with out a doubt.
I love you Lord Jesus ,my Heavenly Father, and my Loving Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Prayer isn't simply asking God for something, it's a 2 way conversation with God. He desires us to fellowship with Him, and that fellowship usually starts with praise/thanksgiving, then prayer. Listening to God, basking in His presence is the greatest time of joy and contentment I have known.
I've had many prayer requests answered, well, all actually, although the answer may often be wait, or no. After all, God knows what's best.

God answers my prayers daily, but here is a neat one that just happened:
My dad is looking for a new job. I pray every night that he'll get one. We'll be relocating to a better city once this happens and I'm very excited. I hate where we live now because it's cold and snowy. We will moving to a place where it's much warmer!
I thought to myself a few days ago "I hate the snow, but I hope we get a blizzard before we move." I had never seen a blizzard, but I wanted to experience one before we moved. A couple days later my dad got a call about a job and the day after that we got a blizzard.
God is funny! But he is my provider and I'm thankful for everything :-)

Pray believing God will answer your prayers. end the prayer in the name of Jesus and be patient with GODS answer,he will answer on his time and he knows the best time to answer your prayer. don't be foolish when praying for something,God knows if your prayer is a need or a want. and he knows what good gifts you need. If the prayer is in Gods will he will answer. God Bless.

You can ask God help for situations. He will answer your prayer request it may or may not be what u expected. If it's not what u expected there is a reason and if u view the situation u will find the answer y it wasn't granted. God knows what our needs are and what is best for us...PATIENCE AND PRAYER go together. Seek and ye shall answer ,knock and the door shall b open...

Praying is talking with God. Any thought directed to God is prayer. The isn't any "formal" prayer, you just pray.
There are three types of prayer:
1) Thanksgiving
2) Intercession
3) Petition
There are three answers to prayers:
1) Yes
2) No
3) Wait for my perfect timing.
God listens. If you have never asked Jesus to be your savior, start with a prayer asking for forgiveness of your sins. Ask Jesus into your heart...and pray without ceasing...
Rom 3:24-26
24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous . He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, 26 for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. NLT
Rom 4:5-6
5 But people are counted as righteous , not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
NLT
James 5:16...The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. NLT

There are certain spiritual laws that govern prayer. Without going in depth, it is all about faith and the use of God's word. You must pray to the Father in Jesus name or it will not be heard.

i was saved in my living room 3 o'clock in morning was drinking and wanted to take my life because i thought there was nothing here for me and no one could help.
staring at the botlle of xanax i was about to take i heard a voice, actually my voice, say call your dad and i did.
my stepmom got on phone and asked me if i was ready to surrender to Christ. and let Him be my savoir and accept the precious gift of grace.
Just tell Jesus, your sorry you dont know Him, but you would like to, ask Him to send someone in your life to help you in your walk with Christ, and to point you to a good church. God will answer your prayer.
God doesnt care how you pray, He just likes to hear from you.
try it. i will pray for you my brother or sister.

Beautiful testimony that Schneb gave to you. Just in a private room ask Jesus to come into your heart and change you. Read His Word, the Holy Bible and read the KJV version because it is not copywritten by man.
