You might want to give yourself a whole year. While it is possible to read it in less time, you would have to cover so much Biblical content in a single reading that your brain is apt to reach critical mass before you finish.
It may be better for you to read less in one sitting, thus remembering more of what you read, even if it takes you a whole year.
There are many "plans" available on the Internet that map out daily reading schedules that will help you complete reading the entire Bible in a single year.
Whether you finish the Bible in a year, six months, however long it takes, just remember that the fact you are reading the Bible is what's most important. Finishing it according to artificial deadlines is not so important.
However you choose to read the Bible, good luck.

It sounds awfully simplistic, but... just sit down and read it.
It's not really that long. I can't imagine it would take anyone a full six months to read if they actually read it every day or every few days. I mean, there were little kids who read the last Harry Potter book in entirety in about a day.

Start out with a plan. Take a few hours each day and devote them to reading. It would help if it was the same time every day so that you get into a nice groove. And then just read.

It takes about 80 hours to read it at a pulpit rate of speed. Clearly less to read silently. If you set aside about two hours each Sabbath Not all together, maybe an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening,=----- then about 10 minutes each evening (or morning if it works better for you) you should be able to cover it.

Try listening to an audio Bible. That helps me because I can listen in the car as I drive or in bed while waiting to go to sleep.
How about the entire Bible in 24 hours?

When you read all those laws about how many tassels should be on the priests robe and which colour they should be; when you get to that part you'll say "why am I bothering with this crap?" and give up.

one page at a time!
...get a one-year study plan and do double the work every day.
There are 66 books in the bible...read one per day and you'd be done in a little over two months.
In short, divide it up and start reading.

Exactly how long of a book do you think it is? Shouldn't take more than a week or two if you read every day.

Why would you want to? The purpose of reading the Bible is to let it speak to you and teach you, not to set some land speed record. If you read it quickly, you'll likely miss its beauty and message.
