No. Eventually they should leave but not until the job is done. If we leave before then we are going to be in big trouble.

No. I'll leave the obvious ones alone: Troops are still essential in S. Korea, because the second we leave the N. Koreans will start their invasion. We shouldn't pull the military forces out of Japan either, because of the same reason.
I don't see a problem with leaving Europe, though. The purpose of the troops their is pretty much obsolete.

what do you mean from everywhere... I want the Iraq situation to be managed better... It was mismanaged so much in the past, somoene needs to be able to correct the wrongs and put the country back together again. We know that the different religious sects will not live together without a strong central government. and until that happend Iraq is ripe for Iran to come in and exert its influence which is something American does not want. The reason Saddam was left in power for so long are the reasons we are seeing today.... that it why he wasn't taken out in the first gulf war... he kept Iran in check... and he kept the Iraqi people from killing each other... Yeah he gassed his own people but it was to prevent revolt... and now we see first hand what happens when the Iraqi's revolt. You can't go from dictatorship to democracy overnight... it just doesn't work!

Interesting question. I suppose we could indeed pull the troops back home from all over the world where they are serving and then just leave all these people to fend for themselves. Yeah I do believe there is some precedence for that in Washington's farewell address. But...oh wait...no might not work. Iraq would go militant in a heartbeat as would Afghanistan and undoubtedly Pakistan. Wow BL's mob with a nuke capability. Yeah I suppose we could do that but I for one don't think it's a viable answer. I myself have a personal stake in this. My son has already served two tours in Iraq with combat arms units and is as we speak preparing for a third. I would love to see him safe but he and his comrades in arms are ensuring that we don't have to fight here in Massachusetts or California. No lets not bring them home just yet.

I can see my answer won't be well received, but no I don't want the troops pulled out. If you do proper research, you will find that it would be unwise to pull out all troops from all over the world. You can't go by what the media tells you, because guess what! They only tell you the bad stuff, nothing goodm especially if it deals with the military.

Well...it depends, back in the 1940's there was a definite need to combat the axis powers, they were an extremely dangerous and capable group that was bent on world domination. Now it seems were just bored ...was there a need to go after Aristede and throw him out of Haiti because he did the unthinkable?...he doubled the minimum wage and added new High Schools and for that Colin Powell saw to it that mr Aristede be exiled. Do we still need to be in Germany....you and I both know that Nato can fend for itself.....and God knows the Saudis don't want us in their territory.

This is a loaded question, being the daughter and sister of 3 soldiers in the war, I would have to say from that stand point yes, but if I listen to them and what they are saying about the situation in Iraq, then no, they need our help to stabilize their country. What I take issue with is the backward way they were sent their in the first place. How can a civil servant such as the President is take it upon himself to decide for everyone that he works for what is best for another country. We went into this war without a plan of exit, and I haven't seen my brothers, let alone my father in almost 3yrs now. When will it end, and how will it end. With more of our fathers, mothers, brothers , and sisters dead than in any war since Vietnam? Or will someone stand up and say we messed up and fix it? And will it be in my lifetime?

No. We already know what Isolationalism did for us prior to WWI and WWII. America is not just a super power in the world; we're a SUPER DUPER power and with that comes a responsibility to keep roague dictators and merciless mass murderers in check. If we pull our forces out of all the world and hide in our own little bubble while out of control dictators and terrorist organizations have freedom of manuever, we will certainly regret the trajic results this would have. There is a reason why we keep up a strong fence around tigers at the zoo. To pull the fence down, package it up, and stow it away at home is certainly FOOLISH at best.

Yes, from everywhere! It's just completely WRONG and a massive WASTE! We should be building schools not military bases! We should be giving them books not guns! Offer an education not another chance to commit murder! I think that george's middle name must have been WRONG or WASTE at one time!

I think declaring war on terrorism committed this country to a life time of our troops on foreign soil. I don't like it but I'm afraid it's going to be a long time before this war is over IF it ever ends!
