My boss has a shitty life and she is jealous of mine. She is controlling and crazy! She is making me miserable and I wish there was some way to get her off my back. We work alone in our department and the only person "over" her would definately side with her. I don't think I could find another job around here that pays so well (my hubby in unemployed) so I really can't just quit. I can't really talk it out with her because she is an emotional wreck...lately she has been unbearable...a total NAZI about everything! What do I do!?

Maybe if you give her a little attention it may soften her up.
Get her talking about herself and her troubles.
Maybe a little honey could go a long way.
This is only a thought.

Keep looking for that other job. Take a college course or two to help you find a higher paying job.

Apply with the county or city.

Don't give up.

You obviously can't work there forever just for the money. Tell hubby to deliver pizza if he has to, do something to offset the pay loss.

No job is worth daily harassment.

Try to be positive until you do find the new job. That's about all you can do.
Good luck, don't strangle her!!!

Remember that it is "her" problem. I know that when working for someone and being with them daily makes it an extremely stressful and difficult situation to be in, however, as long as your work is unaffected by her crap, stick with it. You have access to a computer, use it! Go to monster.com or careerbuilder.com and search for other positions for both you AND your husband. They're easy to use and have loads of jobs. DON'T quit without a new job lined up. As a manager, I can tell you that it's better to have a job then to be unemployed.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that maybe if you asked her if everything is ok outside of work, she might confide in you and tell you what's going on.
