He is a year old collie, he threw up a few times in 1 day but no more for the past few days. He also for a few days before would rub his backside against furniture. Now all he will do is eat, drink, and sleep. He has runny eyes and lays around unusually all day. The vet gave us dewormer and a shot for a fever but that was all they did!!! They said they could do tests but they wouldnt take a payment plan so I cant afford it!! Could he have worms? Where can I go with a payment plan option?

cant you take him to a animal charity place? in the uk if you take them to the rspca you just make a small donation and they do the rest.

Same behavior for my Shar-pei. Turned out she had Heart Worm. Tests, medication and treatment ran me $750 and $88 each 6 months for the tablets she must take for life.

Throwing up is the first sign of internal parasites. The eggs vomited are very small and you can pick them up on your bear feet and they can travel into you through cuts and open skin lesions. So be careful. When one has animals in the home, the key word is "wear shoes all the time and have no rugs". Rugs hold eggs and breed parasites. Mostly fleas but any other kind also.

Is he drinking well one of the worst things for dogs or cats is to get dehydrated. Try just saline drops in his eyes to try and get whatever is in there making them run maybe could be washed out. Is it yellow? He should not have worms due to just being dewormed. Has he been tested for heartworms? Is he on a heartworm preventitive? The only payment plan I know of is a credit cart just for pet care you can probably get an application at your vets.

I would definitely make sure he gets plent of fluids. Dehydration can make them very lethargic.

he needs vet care! Find a way to get some money.. take out a loan, sell something. Apply for a care-credit card www.carecredit.com

Most vets do not offer payment plans because when they do allow payments.. people dont pay them! The only time I have seen a vet offer payment plans is to loyal clients who have been with them for years.

Yeah he's probably got worms. You could try taking your dog for a walk and when he poops, WEARING GLOVES, check his poop. But you should definately do some tests if you don't see anything in the poop.

If they gave you a dewormer and he is still exhibiting signs, then I guess you could rule that out. I would just take the plunge and do the payment plan. Doggy cant help himself, you do it for him soon!!!!

Contact your local SPCA and Humane Society. They usually offer vet care at discounted rates at their facilities. In any event, your dog needs medical attention. It is up to you as a responsible pet owner to take care of his needs.

I WOULD WATCH HIS BOO BOO FOR WORMS. THEY CAN LOOK LIKE LITTLE PIECES OF RICE OR LONG WHITE WORMS. IF NONE THEN IT COULD BE KENNEL COUGH OR A COLD WHICH A SHOT AND ANTIBIOTICS CAN CLEAR UP. TAKE YOUR DOGGIE TO A ANIMAL CHARITY SHELTER. THEY HAVE CLINICS AND WILL COST YOU CLOSE TO NOTHING FOR TREATMENT
