We recently bought a microwave oven. We do not have too many microwave safe dishes. We have a few steel dishes. Some times I use them warm up things. Can anyone explain to me if steel is safe to warm up water or food? I understand it can be very hot or the pot may break, so I have to be very care full, besides that is it harmful for my health?

probably not, but most things you can put in the diswasher, have a stamp on the bottom indicating that you can. If its worn off, do not put it in there
